Delegation of Utah State Senators and Business Representatives Discusses Development of Outsourcing Services and Job Creation

A delegation comprising members of the Senate of the U.S. State of Utah and representatives of the state’s business community visited the Ministry of Digital Technologies and IT Park Uzbekistan.

As part of the visit, the delegation was presented with a comprehensive overview of the reforms currently being implemented by the Ministry and IT Park Uzbekistan, their strategic priorities, and future development plans.

The delegates also became acquainted with the operations of Ustudy IT Academy, an institution dedicated to training IT professionals, as well as the ongoing initiatives at the Unified Integrator UZINFOCOM. Special emphasis was placed on projects in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital solutions.

Furthermore, the Utah delegation took part in the official opening ceremony of GameFest 2025 — one of the largest digital creative events in Uzbekistan, held on the premises of IT Park Uzbekistan. During the event, President of the Utah State Senate and prominent business leader, Mr. Stuart Adams, delivered a keynote address and shared his perspectives with attendees.

The main agenda of the visit included a meeting between Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies, Mr. R. Karimjonov, and the U.S. delegation, during which a range of issues pertaining to the development of Uzbekistan’s digital infrastructure were discussed.

Key topics included the expansion of international outsourcing services in Uzbekistan, preparing local IT talent for the global market, and the implementation of educational programs in cooperation with the Coursera platform. Discussions also covered the favorable conditions provided by IT Park Uzbekistan for foreign IT companies — including tax incentives and the successful outcomes of large-scale initiatives such as the "Zero Risk" program.

The parties explored opportunities for joint efforts to train young professionals in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, enhance the quality of English language instruction, and organize training programs and seminars with the involvement of international mentors and industry experts.

In addition, proposals were presented to promote Uzbekistan as an emerging IT Hub and to support U.S. companies in becoming IT Park members — allowing them to optimize costs, leverage remote work models, and scale their business operations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed sincere gratitude and affirmed their readiness to foster mutually beneficial and long-term cooperation.
