IT Park representatives convened with executives of the Japanese corporation NEC Corporation

During their visit to Japan, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Farhod Ibragimov, convened a meeting with the management of the Japanese company NEC Corporation. The meeting marked a significant step in fostering collaborative ties between Uzbekistan and Japan within the realm of information technology.

Founded in 1899, NEC Corporation currently stands as a global leader in the domains of IT services and social infrastructure, boasting a workforce exceeding 118,000 personnel and an annual revenue totaling $24.3 billion. In Uzbekistan, NEC Corporation has already established partnerships with Uztelecom, a pivotal player in their business.

At the meeting, Hiroshi Kawada, Director of Global Strategy and Chief Representative of NEC Corporation in Central Asia, deliberated with the delegation from IT Park on the prospects for cooperation in data center management and other opportunities for advancing the IT sector in Uzbekistan. Mr. Kawada was presented with and offered preferential conditions and support programs for foreign IT companies, alongside Uzbekistanʼs attractive business climate.

Furthermore, as part of the meeting, discussions revolved around the potential expansion of the existing NEC Corporation representation within Uzbekistan, with the possibility of becoming a resident of IT Park Uzbekistan.

In turn, representatives of NEC Corporation declared their intention to establish an office in Uzbekistan and employ local professionals following an in-depth examination of Uzbekistanʼs investment appeal.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Farhod Ibragimov invited the representatives of NEC Corporation, led by Mr. Kawada, to visit Uzbekistan for further productive negotiations and a comprehensive acquaintance with the countryʼs IT sector.
