Local2Global: IT Park Concludes the First Wave of the Export Accelerator for Uzbek Companies

IT Park Uzbekistan has successfully concluded the initial wave of its enhanced export accelerator program, Local2Global, tailored for member companies aiming to access international markets. This program has swiftly established itself as a powerful tool for strengthening export potential by equipping companies with essential skills, practical knowledge, and direct access to international expertise to broaden their global outreach.

Local2Global functions as a business transformation platform for Uzbek enterprises, providing both technical and methodological support as well as mastering the strategic insights required for a seamless integration into global markets. The program also offers the reimbursement for up to 50% of export-related expenses, capturing the attention of the international business community and presenting new opportunities for IT Park members. This initiative positions Uzbekistan as an emerging focal point on the global technology and innovation map.

A series of workshops as part of Local2Global featured prominent international experts, including South Korean specialists Jungmok Park and Samha Choi, as well as local mentors such as Artur Pak-Vartanyan (co-founder of Ginza Soft), Dmitry Chernyenko (ITCOMMS), and Nikolay Serkutan (LaunchLab). Each expert made a significant contribution to the training of IT Park members, providing valuable knowledge and practical skills essential for their successful entry into international markets.

Artur Pak-Vartanyan, an IT entrepreneur and co-founder of Ginza Soft and Growy Business, as well as the chairman of the Korean business club Koryoin, led a masterclass on “The Fundamentals of Positive Networking” as preparation for the major international event ICT Week. His session equipped IT Park members with effective networking skills for engaging with international guests.

As a result, during ICT Week, 15 member companies attended the workshop held 16 meetings, fostering exchanges of expertise and establishing connections. A notable milestone was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Realsoft AI and Modrean AI, underscoring the effectiveness of the Local2Global program and the considerable potential of Uzbek companies to collaborate with international firms.

Dmitry Chernenko, Director of Business Development at ITCOMMS and a specialist in export-oriented website creation and LinkedIn profile management, conducted a workshop offering valuable recommendations for enhancing the online presence of participants, thereby increasing their competitiveness on the global stage.

Nikolay Serkutan, a startup expert and sales leader with extensive experience in LinkedIn, specializes in developing client acquisition and lead generation strategies. With a deep background in lead generation and sales, Mr. Serkutan conducted a session on defining the Ideal Client Profile (ICP) and executing global partner searches through LinkedIn. This training equips Uzbek companies with practical tools to enter international markets.

Among the seminar speakers were international business figures such as Jungmok Park, an outsourcing expert with experience working for Blizzard Entertainment and Microsoft. Park shared insights on adapting to the nuances of Korean business culture and industry-specific expectations, assisting Uzbek companies in understanding the intricacies of doing business in South Korea.

Additionally, Samha Choi, Managing Partner at ProxyPlanet and an expert in international outsourcing, led a seminar on in-house training for outsourcing in the Korean market. Through this workshop, Local2Global participants gained valuable knowledge on the requirements and expectations of Korean enterprises, which will enable them to adapt successfully and achieve a new level of partnership with Korean business counterparts.

Through the initiatives of Local2Global, IT Park Uzbekistan not only assists Uzbek companies in mastering global business processes but also strengthens their international competitiveness.
