Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference in Malaysia Highlights Growing Interest in Uzbekistan’s IT Sector
The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference (UOC) took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, attracting over 100 guests and representatives from more than 70 companies specializing in IT-services, cybersecurity, and digital education. The event was organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and IT Park Uzbekistan, with support from Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Get Academy.
Mr. Wan Murdani, Vice President of MDEC, delivered the opening address, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation and recognizing the advancements made by Uzbekistan in the IT sector. He expressed his gratitude to all attendees and wished them success in their endeavors.
During the conference, Uzbekistan's unique incentives and favorable conditions for foreign investors were highlighted. Participants learned about the government-backed initiatives that make Uzbekistan an attractive outsourcing hub, such as tax incentives and streamlined business registration processes. These programs are designed to support companies aiming to establish operations in the region.
Ahmed Qayyum, CEO of Upstream BPO, shared his positive experiences of working in the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan. He spoke about the favorable business environment and the comprehensive support provided by local authorities, which has enabled his company to thrive. His remarks underscored Uzbekistan's commitment to fostering a business-friendly climate.
Ganesh Kumar, CEO of GET Academy, which recently launched operations in Uzbekistan, discussed the opportunities available in the country and the robust support for digital education and IT initiatives. He emphasized the readiness of Uzbekistan’s infrastructure and the government’s efforts to create a welcoming environment for tech enterprises.
Throughout the event, attendees from Malaysia had the opportunity to share their impressions of Uzbekistan and learn about IT Park's role in facilitating international collaborations.
