XSolla Presents Plan to Establish First Game Development Academy in Uzbekistan

During the Global Business Services Forum, a significant meeting took place with the management of XSolla, an American video game company, to discuss the potential establishment of a Game Development Academy in Uzbekistan.

XSolla, founded in 2005, specializes in assisting gaming companies with development, promotion, monetization, and financing of their projects. The company employs over 490 staff members and generates an annual revenue exceeding $100 million.

During the meeting, XSolla representatives presented a comprehensive plan for creating a Game Development Academy in Uzbekistan. The focus was on skill development, job creation, and support for the gaming industry. Game developer is a globally sought-after profession that can bring substantial benefits to Uzbekistan. The country has many promising developers, and the academy will provide them with the opportunity to receive high-quality education and secure employment with international companies.

The discussions extended to issues concerning governmental support for the project and potential collaborations with local companies and organizations. IT Park Uzbekistan expressed its commitment to supporting XSolla in realizing the project, including assisting with agreements with IT Park residents, finding an optimal location, and facilitating the legal establishment of the company in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, IT Park, in collaboration with XSolla, aims to create a comprehensive Gamedev ecosystem, encompassing education and employment for all students and attracting major game studios to Uzbekistan.

The establishment of the academy is expected to be a significant step towards strengthening Uzbekistan’s position on the international stage in the game development sector. It will also open new opportunities for IT professionals in Uzbekistan, providing them with the chance to learn and work with international gaming companies. Graduates of the academy will contribute to the significant growth and development of Uzbekistan’s gaming industry by introducing new ideas and innovative solutions to the local market. With the skills and knowledge acquired, they will be able to create competitive products, attract international investments, and drive the country's economic development.
