Uzbekistan Delegation Engages with Concentrix, Showcasing the Country’s Potential for Expanding Collaboration

Uzbekistan Delegation Engages with Concentrix, Showcasing the Country’s Potential for Expanding Collaboration

The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, accompanied by IT Park’s Services Export Development Director, Makhliyo Muksinova, held a meeting with representatives of Concentrix. The discussions centered on opportunities for further collaboration and the potential expansion of Concentrix’s operations in Uzbekistan.

Concentrix, a global technology and services leader, specializes in customer experience (CX) and technology solutions. Headquartered in Newark, California, USA, the company offers a wide range of services — customer support, technical assistance, IT services, sales, and digital transformation and marketing — serving the world’s best brands across various industries, such as technology, healthcare, finance, and retail.

On September 6, 2024, an IT Park delegation, led by its CEO Farkhod Ibragimov, conducted a meeting at Concentrix' office in Türkiye. During this meeting, the delegation and Concentrix discussed the talent potential of Uzbekistan.

At the most recent meeting with Minister Shermatov, Concentrix was represented by Mark Kandiyoti, Director of International Business Development, and Metin Tarakçı, Vice President for the Middle East and Türkiye. The primary objective was to outline subsequent steps and set dates for a Concentrix delegation visit to Uzbekistan. Special emphasis was given to Uzbekistan’s multilingual talent pool, where a significant number of professionals are proficient in foreign languages, including English, German, Korean, and others. Concentrix expressed keen interest in recruiting German-speaking specialists, creating opportunities for the company to expand its IT-enabled services (ITeS) and attract international clients.

Minister Shermatov highlighted success stories of international ITeS companies operating in Uzbekistan, which service markets in the U.S., Europe, and the CIS region. Concentrix representatives expressed interest in exploring strategies for expanding in Uzbekistan.

The presence of a major global company like Concentrix in Uzbekistan would mark a pivotal step towards establishing the country as an emerging IT hub. This expansion would underscore Uzbekistan’s competitiveness and attractiveness to technology and outsourcing firms, thereby fostering the growth in the digital economy and generating new employment opportunities.
