AI in Transforming Central Asia’s Key Industries Discussed in Tashkent: IT Park Uzbekistan’s Participation
Tashkent recently hosted the high-level international seminar “AI for Impact: Shaping the Future of Central Asia’s Key Industries,” organized by EUROUZ and ASEE Group. The event gathered around 150 participants, including experts, government officials, and private sector representatives.
One of the key highlights of the program was a panel session titled “Automation Opportunities in Customer-Centric Processes Across Key Industrial Sectors: From Local to Global,” featuring speakers from the energy, water, and transport sectors, as well as international tech companies. IT Park Uzbekistan was represented by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director.
AI and Automation as Catalysts for Export and IT Service Solutions
During the session, Makhliyo Muksinova presented how AI is being integrated into IT Park's operations and among its members. A notable example is IT Park’s proprietary AI chatbot, available 24/7, which assists users with registration, export support, and investment inquiries. Members are also actively incorporating AI in their products — from natural language processing to computer vision solutions used in logistics and retail.
“AI helps accelerate service delivery, reduce response times, and enables multilingual support — a critical factor for international cooperation,” Muksinova emphasized.
She also highlighted Uzbekistan’s competitive advantages for international IT companies, including preferential tax regimes, access to a young IT talent pool, strategic geographic location, and strong government support for the tech ecosystem.
International Cooperation and the Future of AI in Uzbekistan
Special attention was given to the development of the BPO sector and the role of AI in enhancing its global competitiveness. IT Park is actively partnering with international companies and institutions on AI education, automation, and service standardization. Ongoing efforts include connecting local BPO operators with international clients seeking scalable AI-powered services.
Among the most promising areas for AI deployment in Uzbekistan, Muksinova identified agriculture, healthcare, fintech, and logistics — industries where AI can drive transformative and scalable improvements.
IT Park Uzbekistan remains committed to expanding international collaboration and supporting its members in embedding AI across strategic sectors of the economy. Events like “AI for Impact” reaffirm the global community’s growing interest in Uzbekistan’s tech capabilities and open up new avenues for partnership and innovation.
