IT Park Uzbekistan Explores Collaboration with Japanese IT Ecosystem
IT Park Uzbekistan held a productive meeting with representatives from JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), focusing on strategic cooperation in the IT sector. The meeting was led by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director.
Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a government agency promoting trade and investment between Japan and other countries, supporting businesses with market research, partnerships, and investment opportunities globally.
During the meeting, IT Park Uzbekistan presented its capabilities and programs in the IT sector, emphasizing its infrastructure and support for tech companies. Discussions highlighted the IT Park’s attractiveness for Japanese companies, including competitive tax incentives, a skilled workforce, and its strategic role as a regional IT hub. IT Park also showcased opportunities within Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem, underlining initiatives to foster innovation and support entrepreneurial growth.
JETRO representatives, including Yuta Ichinose, General Director Tashkent Office, and Naima Turakhanova, Regional Coordinator for business development, expressed interest in exploring collaboration opportunities and fostering connections between Japanese businesses and Uzbekistan’s expanding IT sector, considering the opening of the office in Uzbekistan. They also committed to widely promoting Uzbekistan's potential and organizing a business mission for Japanese ITes-companies to Uzbekistan in the first quarter of the next year.
Both parties agreed to explore actionable initiatives, including the development of startup programs, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and attracting Japanese companies to IT Park Uzbekistan.
This meeting reflects IT Park Uzbekistan’s commitment to building global partnerships that drive innovation, attract investment, and strengthen the country’s position in the international IT ecosystem.
