Promoting Joint Initiatives: IT Park Uzbekistan Strengthens Collaboration with Malaysia’s IT Sector

 

As part of an ongoing effort to foster international partnerships, IT Park organized several high-profile meetings with leading figures from Malaysia’s digital and IT sectors, paving the way for future collaborations and investments in Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing technology landscape. TM One

A strategic meeting was held with Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President of TM One, a major IT company in Malaysia. The discussions focused on key topics such as artificial intelligence, outsourcing, cybersecurity, and digital education. During the meeting, representatives from IT Park presented the numerous opportunities and incentives available for foreign investors in Uzbekistan’s IT sector.

 

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, Shazurawati expressed a keen interest in Uzbekistan, emphasizing Central Asia’s potential as a new market for their company. She also mentioned plans for an upcoming visit to Uzbekistan, signaling TM One's intention to explore collaboration opportunities further.

A productive meeting was also held with Mr. Wan Murdani, Vice President of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). The exchange provided an opportunity for both parties to share their experiences and best practices. Mr. Murdani praised Uzbekistan’s ongoing digitalization efforts and the favorable environment created for tech companies. He expressed MDEC’s readiness to explore potential joint projects with IT Park and announced plans to visit Uzbekistan in the near future.

Another significant meeting took place with Zainul Alam, Principal Strategic Advisor at Tasa Group of Companies. During the discussions, Alam revealed the company’s ambitious plan to establish a venture fund in Uzbekistan aimed at financing both local and international startup projects. He noted that Tasa Solutions intends to begin operations as a legal entity in Uzbekistan by the end of the year and expressed a strong desire to sign a memorandum of cooperation to formalize the partnership.
