The Japan-Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation and IT Park Partner to Foster Outsourcing Excellence of Uzbekistan

The Japan-Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation and IT Park Partner to Foster Outsourcing Excellence of Uzbekistan

As part of an official visit in Japan, the delegation of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Global Marketing Director Jamila Khalibaeva, convened with Masato Yoshida, Chief Manager of the Japan-Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation (JUSRF). During the meeting, both parties signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at deepening the partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan in the fields of IT and outsourcing.

The Japan-Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation is a prominent public corporate foundation in Japan, encompassing over 90 members, including major corporations, representatives from small and medium-sized enterprises, regional entities, and distinguished educational institutions. The foundation’s activities span six core sectors: IT, investment and foreign trade, healthcare, tourism, sports, education, and culture.

This memorandum solidifies a foundation laid during an earlier meeting held in Tashkent at the beginning of October this year. The agreement opens avenues for collaboration in IT outsourcing and promotes the establishment of joint ventures and projects, significantly strengthening ties between the two countries.

The memorandum provides for comprehensive support to Japanese companies entering the Uzbek market, which is of particular relevance for new investors. This support will include assistance with business registration, legal advisory services, and organizing engagements with local partners, fostering an environment conducive to establishing solid business relationships and partnerships.

The partnership will also focus on facilitating active engagement of local Uzbek companies in Japanese outsourcing projects, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and fostering strong connections between the IT markets of both nations.

The parties have agreed to actively promote knowledge and experience exchange in the IT domain, which will mark a substantial step forward in reinforcing business relations and launching joint initiatives for IT Park members. Plans include organizing seminars, training sessions, and networking events, offering Uzbekistan’s IT professionals to gain insights into advanced Japanese technologies and business practices.

The signing of this memorandum between IT Park Uzbekistan and JUSRF presents promising prospects for advancing the export of IT services and outsourcing from Uzbekistan, creating new employment opportunities, and expanding the potential for local companies. This strategic partnership aims to facilitate the integration of Uzbek IT companies into the Japanese market, providing vital support for their entry and successful expansion. This alliance is expected not only to fortify economic ties between Uzbekistan and Japan but also to serve as a catalyst for the advancement of Uzbekistan’s high-tech sector, positioning it as a leading international provider of IT services.
