
Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference Engages Over 200 Representatives of Japanese Business
Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference, initiated by IT Park Uzbekistan, was held in Tokyo with the objective of presenting Uzbekistan’s growing capabilities in the field of information technology and outsourcing to leading Japanese companies across various sectors.
The event brought together more than 200 participants from 160 organizations, with over 25 companies expressing interest in further exploring Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem and assessing potential avenues for collaboration.
Opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan, and Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies. Both emphasized ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s IT sector, the country’s favorable investment climate, and the prospects for digital cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.
Akihiro Sakurai, Senior Advisor to the Minister, elaborated on Uzbekistan’s national digital development strategy, highlighting emerging opportunities for Japanese companies. A detailed presentation by IT Park Uzbekistan showcased tax and visa incentives for member companies, the Zero Risk program, and the country’s abundant pool of IT specialists.
The event also featured remarks from a JETRO representative, who provided a comprehensive overview of Uzbekistan’s economic and investment landscape, while Digital Knowledge shared its successful experience operating in the Uzbekistan’s education sector.
The official program concluded with remarks by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, who underlined Uzbekistan’s position as a reliable partner in the high-tech sector.
The conference also facilitated targeted B2B meetings with representatives of such companies as Side International, CrossCat, and Outsourcing Technology Inc.. Following these sessions, leading Japanese corporations — including Rakuten, Mitsubishi Corporation, ULTRA X, Sojitz Corporation, Daiwa House Group, FPT Consulting Japan, NEC, and Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance — received official invitations to attend the Global Business Services Forum scheduled for 24 July 2025 in Tashkent.
