Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference, the leading event by IT Park Uzbekistan, showcasing the global business opportunities created in Uzbekistan, was held in Istanbul, Türkiye. The participation of representatives from over 60 companies, along with significant interest from Turkish businesses, marked the event as a crucial step toward strengthening bilateral relations in the ITes services sector between the two countries.

The opening remarks were delivered by Farkhod Ibragimov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan,  Baran Kılıçer, Director of International Relations at Yıldız TEXNOPARK, and Ilhan Bagoren, CEO of Telenity. Their speeches set the tone for an insightful session, emphasizing Uzbekistan's significant advantage—its young and skilled workforce.

Their insights underscored Uzbekistan's skilled workforce, which includes a youthful talent pool of 21 million working-age individuals, 5 million of whom are proficient in English and 1 million fluent in Turkish. Uzbekistan's human capital positions the country as an ideal destination for companies looking to expand their outsourcing operations. This unique combination makes Uzbekistan an attractive destination for companies looking to expand their outsourcing operations. A notable example is Yıldız TEXNOPARK, which has not only opened a branch in Uzbekistan but is also actively working to develop and employ local specialists in Turkish companies.

Uzbekistan's growing significance in the outsourcing market is underscored by the fact that IT Park members are already actively exporting software development and technical support services to Türkiye, with the volume increasing 61 times since the last year, reaching $2.7 million.

A Representative of TÜYAFED, the Association of Software Developers, highlighted the immense value of human capital in launching and expanding globally recognized IT projects. In his view, Uzbekistan has vast potential and plays a pivotal role in the global outsourcing market.

Moreover, representatives of member-companies, which already operate in Uzbekistan, shared their experiences. Sharing success stories, the CEO of Testinium discussed the rapid establishment of two offices in Tashkent following his visit to the Global Business Services Forum. Within just two days, all processes were completed, allowing the company to quickly begin its operations.

As he stated, “I had the smoothest soft-landing experience ever with Uzbekistan. It was way easier to establish there than in the UAE or UK.”

Sistem Global representative Hazal Bedir stated that since May 2024, they have become partners with IT Park Uzbekistan and have been actively promoting Uzbekistan to their 1,000+ IT clients. They emphasize key advantages such as political stability, government support, and a large pool of talented specialists.

Unicall, another BPO-company, also shared its experience of operating in Uzbekistan. The company emphasized the country's favorable business environment and talented workforce, which has allowed them to scale rapidly and serve international clients effectively.

In the closing speech, Mr. Farkhod Ibragimov emphasized that Uzbekistan and Türkiye, both rich in history and culture, are united by a shared heritage that paves the way for strong collaboration. As both nations work towards economic growth and regional stability, their partnership has become more vital than ever.

Such conferences play a crucial role in positioning Uzbekistan as a prime destination for outsourcing on the international stage. They create new opportunities for job creation, attracting investment, and sharing expertise, all of which ultimately contribute to the country's economic development and the improvement of citizens' well-being.
