Roman Lavrentiev is an entrepreneur and manager of the new generation, born in the early 1990s. From an early age, he showed interest in business and at 20 years old founded his first project in international logistics, which he successfully developed and sold by age 26. After exiting the business, he focused on the IT sector, fintech, and creating technological products.
He is a graduate of Moscow School of Management "Skolkovo" and IMISP Business School, as well as a participant in acceleration programs in San Francisco and Stanford, which shaped his strategic thinking and entrepreneurial competencies.
Under Roman's operational leadership, Uzum grew into Uzbekistan's largest digital ecosystem. The company combines e-commerce, fintech, and banking services, and the number of active users exceeds 17 million people per month.
