Alchemist Accelerator and IT Park Uzbekistan Discuss Collaboration for the 2025 Acceleration Program

A meeting took place at the Alchemist Accelerator headquarters in San Francisco between Jahongir Kagirov, Head of the IT Services Export Development Department at IT Park Uzbekistan, and Kristi Kanida, Senior Director at Alchemist Accelerator. The primary focus of the discussions was to explore potential areas of cooperation in the framework of an acceleration program scheduled to launch in June 2025, which will be part of the Central Asian Innovative Hubs initiative.

    About the Program and Collaboration

Established in 2012 in San Francisco, Alchemist Accelerator is recognized as one of the foremost accelerators specializing in supporting startups engaged in the development of corporate solutions and technologies, including SaaS and IT products for the business sector. The Alchemist Accelerator program spans six months, offering mentorship, financial backing, and networking opportunities. The accelerator has nurtured over 600 startups, many of which have successfully secured substantial venture capital investments, such as Rigetti Computing and LaunchDarkly.

The upcoming cohort, set to commence in June 2025, will focus on Central Asian startups specializing in corporate solutions and IT products, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the startup and venture investment ecosystem in the region.

    Collaboration and Development Prospects

During the meeting, the parties explored avenues for attracting similar accelerators to Uzbekistan and discussed opportunities for joint investment in Central Asian startups.

Kristi Kanida expressed a high regard for Uzbek startups currently participating in the accelerator program in the United States. Alchemist Accelerator indicated its readiness to provide support for the development of projects from Uzbekistan and contribute to the advancement of the region’s startup ecosystem.

Engagement in the Alchemist Accelerator program will enable Uzbek startups to develop their products at an international level by leveraging the expertise of seasoned mentors and gaining access to a global network of investors and corporate partners. The collaboration between IT Park Uzbekistan, Astana Hub, and Alchemist Accelerator marks a significant milestone in integrating the region’s startups into the global innovation ecosystem.
