AMALT Group of companies eyes Uzbekistan for operational expansion and tech investments

As part of the visit to the United States, a high-level meeting was held between the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Association of Moldovan-American Logistics and Transport (AMALT) to discuss strengthening business cooperation, direct investment, and establishing an operations hub in Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan; Farkhod Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan; Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan; and representatives of AMALT Group, including Mihai Sava, President of Nova Lines; Nikolae Corobca, Executive Director and President of C1 Management; Vadim Savca, Founder of Forsage Logistics; Iurie Postolachi, Founder of CargoBoss Inc, and Mihai Dercaci, President of Schwarz Logistics Corp.

During the discussions, both sides explored the potential establishment of an AMALT resident transport operations center in Uzbekistan. The center would support dispatching, accounting, compliance, and customer support functions for U.S.-based Moldovan companies. The project is expected to create up to 400 new jobs and leverage Uzbekistan’s high-quality talent pool.

The parties also examined opportunities for expanding investment flows from Moldovan entrepreneurs into Uzbekistan’s outsourcing and technology sectors, with a particular focus on supporting startups. AMALT expressed interest in co-investing in digital transport solutions, educational programs, and local accelerators that could integrate Uzbek innovations into U.S. networks.

The meeting concluded with both sides identifying potential areas of cooperation, defining investment priorities, and agreeing on a roadmap to develop Uzbekistan’s technology ecosystem, fostering economic growth and innovation in the country.
