IT Park Uzbekistan and Berlitz strengthen cooperation in talent development

IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a follow-up meeting between Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director at IT Park, and Mr. Wilson Go, President of Berlitz Philippines. The meeting served as a continuation of the dialogue initiated by Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, and Fortuna Joy de Lara, CEO of Berlitz Philippines and Berlitz Uzbekistan.

The discussions focused on practical steps for launching specialized language training programs tailored to the needs of international outsourcing companies. Both parties emphasized the importance of engaging BPO partners in advance to ensure that educational programs are aligned with specific employer requirements.

Drawing on Berlitz’s successful experience in the Philippines — where the company collaborates with over 100 BPO firms — participants discussed the potential to adapt this model to the Uzbek market. Mr. Wilson Go shared insights into Berlitz’s approach to identifying market needs and flexibly adjusting training content to meet client demands, a methodology the partners now plan to introduce in Uzbekistan.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to building a sustainable pipeline of qualified professionals with foreign language proficiency. The meeting also addressed plans to initiate new B1–C1 level language programs in collaboration with international BPO companies and to expand the network of partner employers to support the employment of graduates.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to develop a joint roadmap outlining the launch timeline for pilot programs, partner selection process, and operational responsibilities. A series of working sessions will be held in the coming weeks to finalize the implementation details.

IT Park Uzbekistan remains committed to supporting initiatives that enhance the country’s export capacity, create employment opportunities, and invest in human capital through partnerships with global organizations such as Berlitz.
