Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, held a meeting with a delegation from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, led by HE Dr. Mohammad Monirul Islam, Ambassador of Bangladesh. The discussions focused on the prospects for cooperation in the development of the IT industry, with both parties agreeing to explore opportunities for joint initiatives.
During the meeting, IT Park representatives delivered a comprehensive presentation on the organization’s activities and initiatives, outlined programs designed to support member companies, and highlighted measures aimed at attracting foreign companies, including the state “Zero Risk” program. The parties also discussed opportunities for Bangladeshi IT companies to access the MENA market through IT Park’s platform.
Particular attention was devoted to the development of the IT sector in remote regions, a priority that would facilitate the creation of new jobs for young people and ensure equitable access to digital services.
The Ambassador proposed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between IT Park and the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and extended an invitation to an Uzbek delegation to visit Bangladesh for meetings with leading IT companies. In response, the Uzbek side invited the Ambassador to participate in ICT WEEK 2025, scheduled to take place on 23–26 September in Uzbekistan.
Collaboration with Bangladesh is expected to expand IT Park’s international partnerships, attract new projects and investors, and further strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as a global IT hub.
