Fostering the Digital Ecosystem: IT Park and the World Bank Hold Working Meeting

On May 7, 2025, IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a series of strategic meetings with the participation of Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, and representatives of the World Bank.

 

 

The initial session focused on reviewing the progress of current projects, identifying key mission priorities, and outlining new areas requiring attention and investment. Particular emphasis was placed on developing a coordinated strategy to advance national digital initiatives.

 

 

During the second session, discussions centered on measures to stimulate IT-enabled services (ITES) companies, including updates to the “Incentives Guide,” verification mechanisms, engagement with payment agents, and the restructuring of the project in line with evolving needs under the ITES development strategy.

 

 

The agenda concluded a meeting involving representatives of IT Park, the World Bank, and JSCB “Aloqabank,” during which the parties explored support mechanisms for youth entrepreneurship and the expansion of startup incubation programs in Uzbekistan’s regions.

 

 

The visit underscored the critical importance of interagency and international cooperation in driving the development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy. IT Park remains committed to strengthening support for IT companies and fostering a sustainable technological ecosystem within the framework of national and global initiatives.
