Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan held a meeting with Noguchi Yasuyuki, CEO of the Japanese company Digital Knowledge. Digital Knowledge stands as one of the key partners of IT Park Uzbekistan, collaborating on initiatives aimed at enhancing Uzbekistan’s visibility in the Japanese market and attracting Japanese companies to the country.
Furthermore, Digital Knowledge has established Japan Digital University in Uzbekistan, an institution dedicated to training IT professionals and teaching them the Japanese language. The university also supports its graduates in securing employment within Japanese companies expanding their presence in Uzbekistan, thereby fostering bilateral cooperation.
A key topic of the meeting was the forthcoming opening of an IT Park’s representative office in Tokyo, which will be located within the Digital Knowledge building. This milestone marks a significant step in strengthening ties between the IT sectors of both countries.
During the negotiations, Digital Knowledge representatives expressed their readiness to facilitate the official opening ceremony as well as the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference (UOC) in Tokyo. Additionally, the parties explored prospective initiatives to attract Japanese companies to engage with Uzbekistan’s IT sector, thereby expanding partnership opportunities and increasing the number of joint projects.
To support preparations for the office launch, an IT Park delegation will visit Japan in March. The visit will include meetings with representatives of Japanese IT companies in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, along with negotiations aimed at strengthening business ties and exploring new avenues of collaboration.
The establishment of IT Park’s office in Japan represents a strategically significant step in deepening international cooperation. The new office will unlock additional opportunities for Uzbek IT companies, solidify partnerships with Japan, and elevate collaboration in the outsourcing domain to a new level.
