IT Park Uzbekistan and Japanese Foundation Discuss Cooperation Opportunities

 

In Tashkent, a meeting took place between the delegation of the Japan-Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation (JUSRF) and IT Park Uzbekistan. The Japanese delegation, led by Mr. Yoshitsugu Mingawa, Chairman of the JUSRF Agriculture and Regional Development Working Group, conveyed strong interest in enhancing collaboration in the field of digital technologies between Japan and Uzbekistan.

 

 

The delegation comprised representatives from 13 companies, including ideaNFT Co. Ltd. and Will Smart Co. Ltd. 

 

 

During the meeting, IT Park representatives, represented by Jahongir Kagirov, Director of the IT Services Export Development Department, presented the capabilities and programs of IT Park focused on the development of digital technologies in Uzbekistan. Discussions centered on the introduction of new opportunities and IT Park programs in the field of information technologies, as well as the its potential to foster international collaboration.

 

 

Mr. Yoshitsugu Mingawa also expressed his commitment to promoting Uzbekistan’s outsourcing capabilities among over 100 member companies of the Japan-Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation. This engagement unlocks new avenues for collaboration between the two nations.

 

 

Representatives from ideaNFT Co. Ltd. and Will Smart Co. Ltd. expressed keen interest in establishing offices in Uzbekistan. In response, IT Park affirmed its readiness to provide comprehensive support to Japanese companies in setting up their operations within the country.

 

 

Additionally, IT Park extended an invitation to the Japanese delegation and it's partners to participate in the “UOC” event in Tokyo, scheduled for October 31.

 

The successful development of the IT sector and international cooperation in Uzbekistan are creating new employment opportunities and fostering professional growth. Uzbekistan is shaping a high-tech cluster that will bolster the national economy and enhance its resilience. Joint ventures with Japan and other countries are expanding the reach of Uzbek IT companies into the global market, opening new prospects for local businesses.
