    Plug and Play Uzbekistan Expo 2025 Convened Startups and Investors in Tashkent

    The Palace of Trade Unions in Tashkent hosted Plug and Play Uzbekistan Expo 2025 — a landmark event in Central Asia’s startup ecosystem, organized with the support of the global innovation platform Plug and Play, in partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Digital Technologies. The event brought together over 400 participants, including investors, startup founders, representatives of major corporations, and public institutions, with the objective of fostering partnerships, facilitating knowledge exchange, and showcasing the region’s technological potential.

     

     

    In his opening address, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, remarked:

     

    “Plug and Play Uzbekistan Expo 2025 serves as a clear testament to Uzbekistan’s evolving role as a regional innovation hub. In collaboration with Plug and Play, we are building an ecosystem where startups receive comprehensive support, reach international markets, and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of the national economy.” 

     

     

    Sascha Karimpour, Partner at Plug and Play Tech Center, added:

    “The year 2025 marks a new chapter in the evolution of the startup movement. We are enhancing sectoral specialization, with a focus on fintech, artificial intelligence, and corporate innovation. Plug and Play Uzbekistan Expo 2025 represents a critical milestone on the path to building the region’s future unicorns.” 

     

     

    Kamola Sobirova, Advisor to the Minister of Digital Technologies, noted:

    “Plug and Play Uzbekistan Expo 2025 is more than an exhibition — it is a strategic platform where innovative ideas are supported, and early-stage startups are empowered to access global markets. We believe in the potential of our youth and remain committed to advancing technological entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.”

     

     

    Key Highlights of Plug and Play Uzbekistan Expo 2025:

    • VC Mixer — rapid networking sessions between startups and investors, enabling exchange of contacts, and follow-up engagements;
    • Presentations by startups from the third and fourth cohorts of the Plug and Play acceleration program;
    • President Tech Awards 2024 — recognition of the most impactful technological solutions;  
    • Panel Discussion: “Corporate Innovation” — discussions on trends and challenges of enterprise transformation.

     

    Startups Featured at Plug and Play

    17 startups participated in the third cohort of the acceleration program, including: SynCall AI, Datagaze, medevery, K-Tech's SmartBuilding360, VOLTIVA LLC, TrustMe, Sharh, MARS IT, Dialix AI, Zebra Eve, TPM, Exode.biz, Sampler.az, Global Green Hub, FlexSoft, ISH.uz, Growy Me.

     

     

    The fourth cohort featured 15 fintech and AI projects, including: Bito.uz, Karmon, 1doc.uz, Jett, Robosell, Alem, MilliyPay, 4Rize, UzbekVoiceAI, Urbo, pDaftar, Cradle AI, Trust ID, Alsha, Secura.  

     

    The presence of Plug and Play in Uzbekistan, in close collaboration with IT Park and the Ministry of Digital Technologies, has already resulted in the launch of significant initiatives, including the acceleration of dozens of startups, the engagement of international mentors, and access to global markets.

     

     

    Expo 2025 served not only as a showcase of current achievements but also as a strategic launchpad for the emergence of future unicorns, further reinforcing Uzbekistan’s position on the global technological landscape.  

     

    Plug and Play Uzbekistan Expo 2025 is more than an exhibition — it is a strategic platform where future partnerships are forged, growth opportunities are unlocked, and Uzbekistan’s status as a regional hub for technological innovation is strengthened.

    GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

    Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services. Organized by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the event convened approximately 450 participants representing 260 companies, including 237 international companies from 40 countries. Among the attendees were representatives of multinational corporations, startups, government agencies, and venture capital funds.
