Proxy Planet and IT Park Uzbekistan Sign Memorandum on Developing the GameDev and Esports Ecosystem

A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Director of Business Development Jakhongir Radjabov, conducted a meeting with the CEO of Korean company Proxy Planet, Young Mok Park. During the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation focused on advancing Uzbekistan’s GameDev industry.

Proxy Planet, headquartered in Seoul and founded in 2023, is dedicated to supporting enterprises in the GameDev sector. The company offers services designed to assist businesses with market expansion, relocation, or the establishment of operations abroad. Proxy Planet provides consultancy on game development, event organization, and strategic partnerships, as well as educational programs in game development and services to attract investment.

Uzbekistan has established a strong reputation in the Korean market as a reliable outsourcing partner. With a median population age of 29 and over 31 million mobile device users, Uzbekistan is actively enhancing its global competitiveness, particularly in high-tech and digital services.

In line with the memorandum, Proxy Planet and IT Park aim to establish a robust international platform to attract Korean companies while jointly supporting organizations in the GameDev and e-commerce sectors. This collaboration will focus on expanding IT outsourcing, preparing young professionals to meet Korean market requirements, and supporting the acceleration of game developers in Uzbekistan.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with the government of Uzbekistan, which is committed to strengthening the country’s position as a global IT outsourcing hub,” stated Proxy Planet CEO Young Mok Park. “I am impressed by the rapid growth of Uzbekistan’s digital sector, and I am confident that our partnership will deliver substantial results.”

IT Park Uzbekistan’s Director of Business Development, Jakhongir Radjabov, added: “Collaborating with leading Korean gaming companies enables us to create a robust ecosystem for the advancement of the GameDev industry, thereby opening extensive opportunities for our youth. We are grateful to Proxy Planet for this partnership, which lays the foundation for future achievements.”

The memorandum signed between Proxy Planet and IT Park unveils new opportunities for establishing a modern GameDev ecosystem in Uzbekistan. This cooperation represents a significant step toward strengthening international relations and fostering the exchange of expertise between Uzbekistan and Korea. Through this collaboration, local professionals and young developers will gain unique professional development opportunities, contributing to the dynamic growth of Uzbekistan’s GameDev industry and digital economy.
