On 25 September 2025, Tashkent will host the Startup & Venture Summit within the framework of ICT Week. The event will convene more than 500 participants, including startups, venture capital funds, accelerators, government agencies, and other key stakeholders of the startup and venture ecosystem. Organized in partnership with Plug and Play, the Summit will create new opportunities for collaboration with international funds, strategic partners, and corporations interested in Central Asia, while also serving as a catalyst for further integration of Uzbek startups into the global innovation ecosystem.
The Startup & Venture Summit represents a central meeting point for the venture capital community and the startup ecosystem of Central Asia. The summit aims to showcase the region’s growth trajectory, establish new partnerships, and draw the attention of global investors to opportunities in Uzbekistan and neighboring countries. For startups, it offers support in scaling to international markets, while venture funds will gain access to a rapidly expanding market with significant potential.
The program will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions on scaling startups and developing venture capital, success stories of Uzbek founders abroad, and investors’ perspectives on Central Asia’s potential. Among the confirmed speakers are Yoram Wijngaarde, Founder and CEO, Dealroom.co; Alfredo Gomez Soria, Director of Corporate Relations at Plug and Play Tech Center (Germany); Jan Davídek, Partner at Purple Ventures (Czech Republic); Darsh Singh Mann, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at StartX (USA), Sara Daniel, Managing Director at Doha Tech Angels (Qatar), along with other distinguished experts.
The Summit will conclude with networking sessions and B2B meetings, enabling participants to establish new partnerships and receive mentorship from leading international experts.
For Uzbekistan, the event will represent an important step in advancing the national startup ecosystem on the global stage. It will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the country’s investment potential, highlight the success stories of Uzbek founders, and emphasize the region’s attractiveness for venture capital.
