GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services. Organized by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the event convened approximately 450 participants representing 260 companies, including 237 international companies from 40 countries. Among the attendees were representatives of multinational corporations, startups, government agencies, and venture capital funds.

TruckTech Day conference focused on AI solutions held in Tashkent

On February 14, the TruckTech Day conference was held at the conference hall of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in freight transportation and logistics. The event brought together 438 participants and representatives of 312 companies.

The AI Leaders program on AI strategy development for executives is launching.

From April 6 to May 31, the online program AI Leaders will take place, designed for executives and decision-makers. Participants will develop a practical AI strategy for their organization and, upon completion, receive an official certificate from Stanford Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (Stanford HAI). The program is delivered in collaboration with Stanford HAI, OpenAI Academy, and Silkroad Innovation Hub.

On February 11, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed Resolution No. PP–59 “On measures to implement a comprehensive startup support ecosystem.” The document establishes a structured framework for startup development — from idea to international expansion — making this trajectory clearer and more predictable.

A briefing and the Uzbek–Chinese scientific symposium were held at the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) as part of the visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation of the People’s Republic of China led by Gao Xiang, President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). The list of international platforms allowed for the conclusion of contracts for the export of services in the field of digitalization has been approved

On March 15, the Resolution of the President “On measures to create favorable conditions for service provision to entrepreneurship entities in the field of digital technologies through international platforms” (No. RP-129 dated March 15, 2024) has been adopted.
