Haulmont is considering opening a back office in Uzbekistan

Representatives from IT Park conducted a meeting with Maksim Vasiliev, the Executive Director of the IT company Haulmont.

Haulmont specializes in software development and IT services. Founded in 2008, the company focuses on creating platforms for business process automation and developing enterprise applications. One of the company’s flagship products is the CUBA Platform, a robust tool for the rapid development of enterprise applications. Haulmont employs over 720 personnel across four offices worldwide, with an annual turnover exceeding $50 million.

During the meeting, representatives of IT Park and Haulmont discussed the potential for the company to collaborate with Uzbekistan and establish a new office within the country. Haulmont expressed keen interest in Uzbekistan’s rapidly evolving IT market and favorable business environment. The prospect of generating revenue in foreign currency is particularly crucial, prompting the company to consider Uzbekistan as a new location for opening an export-oriented back office.

Moreover, the company plans to establish a major outsourcing office in Uzbekistan this autumn. The company already employs several Uzbek IT specialists who have exhibited exceptional performance, further motivating Haulmont to attract more Uzbek IT professionals to their new office.

Haulmont has previously engaged in a series of meetings with IT Park representatives to obtain tax and business consultations for commencing operations with Uzbekistan.

Collaboration with Haulmont will confer numerous advantages on Uzbekistan, including the creation of new employment opportunities for local IT specialists, thereby boosting employment and skill development. The establishment of the company’s an export-oriented back office will also fortify Uzbekistan’s position in the global IT services market, increasing the country’s export potential and foreign currency revenues. Hence, the partnership with Haulmont represents a pivotal step towards Uzbekistan’s digital transformation and economic growth.

When I first landed in Uzbekistan back in 2018, I didn’t expect to stay this long. Yet here I am, eight years later, still convinced it’s one of the few places where the math of life makes sense. You get strong value for money, a real sense of community, and a lifestyle that allows you to focus on building. It’s not perfect — but if you want lower burn without shrinking your life, Uzbekistan deserves your attention.
