IT Park Uzbekistan Participates in Central Asian Startup Forum Panel Session

Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulakhad Kuchkarov took part in the Central Asian Startup Forum, hosted by UEnter in Tashkent. The event brought together representatives from regional and global startup ecosystems, including experts, startups, investors, accelerators, universities, and international organizations from 20 countries.

The forum offered a rich lineup of sessions tailored to the needs of the startup community, featuring thematic sessions that covered crucial topics, such as venture financing specifically for FinTech startups, real-world applications of artificial intelligence, partnerships between universities and startups, and resources available for women-led startups in Central Asia. A highlight of the event was the Startup Battle, where ten promising startups from five Central Asian countries presented their projects to top venture funds, competing for valuable prizes and gaining regional exposure.

IT Park’s Executive Director, Abdulahad Kuchkarov, participated in a panel session, engaging in discussions focused on the current landscape of Central Asian startup ecosystems alongside broader global industry trends. The panel provided a platform for exchanging insights on the challenges and opportunities facing startups in the region and highlighted Uzbekistan’s growing role in the regional tech landscape.

"Central Asia’s startup ecosystem is on the rise, showing remarkable potential for innovation and growth,” – says Abdulakhad Kuchkarov. “Entrepreneurs here are tackling local challenges with fresh solutions in areas like FinTech, AI, cloud technologies and more. This momentum is catching the attention of global investors who see the talent and drive that make this region a new frontier for tech and entrepreneurship."

The forum served as a unique opportunity for IT Park Uzbekistan to connect with innovators, investors, and ecosystem builders, furthering its commitment to fostering a dynamic startup culture in Uzbekistan. This engagement not only strengthens Uzbekistan's position as an emerging tech hub but also attracts resources, expertise, and potential partnerships that can drive job creation, skill development, and sustainable growth within the country’s digital economy.
