On 26 September 2025, Tashkent will host the Global Startup Awards — Central Asia Final, the regional stage of the world’s largest awards program for startups, organized within the framework of ICT Week. The event will bring together startups from eight countries, alongside leading industry experts, investors, accelerators, and media representatives, creating a significant platform to advance innovation in Central Asia and to strengthen the region’s role on the global stage.
The Global Startup Awards (GSA) is the world’s largest startup ecosystem platform, with a mission to discover and empower high-growth and innovative entrepreneurs and their startups through global competitions, events, collaboration, and community.. Over the past 12 years, it has expanded to 19 regions and 154 countries, attracting more than 160,000 applications and over 822,000 votes. Among its participants and winners are 16 unicorn companies with a combined valuation exceeding USD 64 billion.
The program of the Central Asia Final will feature an official opening ceremony with the participation of organizers and partners, finalist presentations from across eight countries, a panel discussion on Central Asia’s emergence as a new innovation hub, and keynote speeches from international industry leaders. The event will culminate in a distinguished awards ceremony, including a vibrant show and the presentation of prizes.
For Uzbekistan, hosting this prestigious event represents a valuable opportunity to demonstrate the potential of the national startup ecosystem, to expand cooperation with accelerators and venture capital funds, and to attract the attention of international media to the region.
