    IT Park Uzbekistan expands cooperation with Egypt in IT and innovation

    Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan carried out a working visit to Cairo, during which a series of meetings were held with government institutions, venture capital funds, technology companies, and outsourcing partners in Egypt. Following the negotiations, the parties reached agreements on developing institutional cooperation, organizing delegation visits to Uzbekistan, and supporting the establishment of offices by several Egyptian companies in the country.


    Embassy of Uzbekistan: alignment of plans to advance IT cooperation


    Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan met with officials of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Egypt. During the meeting, the parties discussed plans to expand cooperation in the field of information technology, as well as support measures for Egyptian companies considering entry into the Uzbek market. Agreements were reached on cooperation in organizing business meetings and promoting the opportunities of IT Park Uzbekistan among the local business community.



    The Embassy also confirmed its readiness to provide diplomatic and organizational support in establishing contacts between public and private institutions of both countries, thereby creating a foundation for the further expansion of joint IT initiatives.


    F6 Ventures: discussion of investments and expansion in Uzbekistan


    During a meeting with the venture capital fund F6 Ventures, the parties discussed investment opportunities, startup support, and potential areas of cooperation. The Egyptian side expressed interest in exploring the Uzbek market and participating in events organized by IT Park Uzbekistan.



    F6 Ventures is an Egyptian venture capital fund established in 2022, that supports early-stage startups by investing in projects across various sectors, including fintech, e-commerce, and edtech. The fund also provides mentorship and expert support to teams.


    V.Connct: interest in opening an office and entering the Central Asian market


    V.Connct considered opportunities to open an office in Uzbekistan and to use the country as a platform for entering the Central Asian market. During the meeting, tax incentives, the Zero Risk program, and the advantages of working with local IT talent were presented. The company expressed interest in further market analysis and plans to visit Uzbekistan as part of an upcoming event.



    V.Connct is a technology company developing digital solutions for corporate communications, customer support, and business process automation. The company creates platforms for contact centers, omnichannel services, and AI-based tools. V.Connct is planning international expansion by opening offices in promising technology hubs.


    Main Telecom: interest in localization of development and attraction of IT specialists


    Main Telecom explored opportunities to enter the Uzbek market and expressed interest in participating in events organized by IT Park Uzbekistan. Key topics of discussion included conditions for software development, localization of services, and the attraction of local specialists.



    Main Telecom is a technology company operating in the telecommunications sector and developing software solutions for telecom operators and corporate clients. The company builds network management systems, digital services, and automation tools, and is considering international expansion, particularly in markets with developing IT infrastructure and strong engineering talent.


    Algebra Ventures: discussion of investments and participation in IT Park Uzbekistan events


    Meetings with the venture capital fund Algebra Ventures focused on investment opportunities in Uzbek startups, the fund’s participation in IT Park Uzbekistan events, and opportunities for startups to enter new markets.



    Algebra Ventures is one of the largest venture capital funds in Egypt and the MENA region. The fund invests in startups in fintech, e-commerce, logistics, education, and B2B solutions, supporting teams at both early and growth stages. In addition to funding, the fund provides mentorship and scaling support. Algebra Ventures is exploring new markets and considers Uzbekistan a promising investment destination.


    EgyRobo: interest in opening a back office and attracting specialists from Uzbekistan


    EgyRobo announced its intention to open a back office in Uzbekistan and attract local IT specialists. The meeting addressed issues related to adapting the company’s digital products for the region and obtaining member status at IT Park Uzbekistan.



    EgyRobo is one of Egypt’s major IT companies, operating since 2006. The company specializes in robotics, process automation, and the development of software solutions for international clients. With experience in Europe, EgyRobo considers Uzbekistan a promising direction for expansion and is actively seeking new markets for building engineering teams and launching technology projects.


    EdVentures: entry of EdTech startups into the Uzbek market


    The EdVentures fund explored opportunities to expand into Uzbekistan through the participation of its EdTech startups in IT Park Uzbekistan events and by assessing the potential of the local market. The parties discussed which projects might be of interest to the Uzbek audience, as well as possible formats for startup participation in exhibitions, pitch sessions, and educational programs.


    EdVentures is an Egyptian venture fund that invests in educational technology and entrepreneurship projects. The fund supports early-stage startups by providing financing, mentorship, acceleration programs, and access to a partner network. EdVentures assists its portfolio companies in expanding into international markets, including Asia and Africa.


    ACT International: discussion on establishing an export-oriented call center hub in Uzbekistan


    ACT International examined the possibility of opening an export-oriented call center hub in Uzbekistan. The discussions focused on access to talent, infrastructure, and support programs.



    ACT International is an international company operating in customer service outsourcing and call center services. The company provides customer support, technical assistance, and process automation services. ACT International is expanding into new markets and considers countries with strong talent pools and favorable conditions for establishing service hubs.


    Plug and Play Egypt: discussion on cooperation in startup acceleration and program expansion in Uzbekistan


    Prospects for cooperation within startup and venture programs were discussed. Plug and Play expressed interest in participating in IT Park Uzbekistan events and in reviewing startups for entry into the Central Asian market.



    Plug and Play is a global innovation platform working with startups, corporations, and investors worldwide. The organization supports startups in attracting investment, finding strategic partners, and entering new markets. Plug and Play is expanding its activities in the MENA region and views Uzbekistan as a promising platform for developing programs and projects.


    ITIDA: discussion of institutional cooperation and support for companies entering new markets


    During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation, experience exchange, and support for companies entering new markets. Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan presented membership programs, the Zero Risk and soft-landing initiatives, and the conditions created in the country for international IT companies. ITIDA expressed interest in joint efforts and readiness to facilitate connections between IT Park Uzbekistan and local companies. The parties agreed to continue discussions on practical steps toward future partnership.


    ITIDA is a government organization of Egypt responsible for the development of the IT sector and support of technology companies. The agency assists businesses with registration procedures, talent acquisition, and market entry, and implements programs to develop IT services exports and digital technologies. ITIDA plays a key role in positioning Egypt as one of the region’s leading IT hubs.


    GAFI: discussion of investment cooperation and support for companies entering the Uzbek market


    In meetings with the government agency GAFI, the parties discussed investment regulation, promotion of foreign companies, and opportunities for institutional support for Egyptian businesses entering Uzbekistan. GAFI expressed interest in developing partnership and highlighted the potential of the Uzbek market for Egyptian companies. The parties agreed to continue information exchange and consider GAFI’s participation in future IT Park Uzbekistan events.



    GAFI (General Authority for Investment and Free Zones) is Egypt’s government authority responsible for attracting investment and supporting companies. The organization assists investors, develops free economic zones, and simplifies business conditions, playing a key role in shaping the country’s investment policy.


    MCIT Egypt: discussion of government support and intergovernmental cooperation in IT


    During a meeting with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt, the parties discussed government support measures in the IT sector, prospects for intergovernmental cooperation, and the participation of ministry representatives in IT Park Uzbekistan events.


    MCIT Egypt (Ministry of Communications and Information Technology) is the government body responsible for the development of digital technologies, telecommunications, and innovation in Egypt. The ministry implements national digital transformation programs, develops innovation clusters, supports startups, and cooperates with international partners to advance the IT industry. MCIT plays a key role in shaping national technology policy and creating conditions for the growth of the digital economy.


    Visit outcomes


    The working visit to Egypt became an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the IT sector. The outcomes of the meetings create a foundation for Egyptian companies to enter Uzbekistan, expand investment flows, attract startups, and establish new directions for international partnership.     GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

    Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services.
