IT Park Uzbekistan strengthens international ties

 

IT Park Uzbekistan continues to promote Uzbekistan on the global stage, earning the trust of global companies and organizations. This week saw a series of meetings and negotiations, as well as participation by the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation in major international events.

 

 

Visit to Mongolia

 

During a five-day working visit, IT Park representatives met with executives from Mongolian companies to showcase the advantages of conducting business in Uzbekistan. Dildora Nasibullaeva, the International Relations Manager, also spoke at several conferences, delivering a presentation titled “The Role and Impact of Science and Technology Parks on Regional Development”. In her speech, Dildora highlighted the reforms and economic progress in Uzbekistan that have driven rapid growth in the IT sector.

 

As part of the conference, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between IT Park Uzbekistan and IT Park Mongolia, aimed at fostering future partnerships, creating innovative solutions, and establishing a favorable environment for the development of the IT sectors in both Mongolia and Uzbekistan.

 

 

Meeting with XMG Inc.

 

The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation, led Makhliyo Muksinova, Director of IT Export Development, held a meeting with the leadership of the American company XMG Inc.

 

XMG Inc. specializes in creating high-tech equipment, deploying 5G-6G networks in various countries, developing gaming applications, and facilitating international financial transactions. The company operates several factories in Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan, with offices in the United States, Europe, and South Asia. With over 25 years in operation, XMG Inc. employs more than 5,000 people and reported annual revenues exceeding $20 billion in 2023.

 

During the meeting, Ken Kemal, Chairman of XMG Inc., expressed interest in Uzbekistan’s IT landscape and the business environment that fosters the growth and expansion of ITes companies. The company plans to become a member of IT Park Uzbekistan and open an office in the country soon. Ken Kemal also emphasized XMG Inc.’s intention to hire local specialists, creating new job opportunities.

 

 

Meeting with Tamasek

 

A delegation from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore, led by Deputy Principal and CEO Mr. AW Tuan Kee, recently visited Tashkent to explore opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Southeast Asia.

The learning process combines practical skills, education and life skills, attaching great importance to global and cultural diversity. During the meeting with representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, issues of improving the quality of professional programs for the country's youth, positioning Uzbekistan as a key IT outsourcing center, as well as a proposal to create an IT student exchange program between the two countries were discussed.

 

This meeting laid the foundation for a long-term partnership aimed at supporting digital transformation and developing skills and knowledge exchange between the two countries. Mr. AW Tuan Kee stressed the importance of this cooperation in strengthening the country's human resources potential and noted Uzbekistan's prospects for expanding Singapore's educational and outsourcing initiatives in Central Asia.
