As part of ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025, a delegation from Kashkadarya region, led by Anvar Kobilov, Deputy Governor for Youth Policy, Social Development, and Spiritual and Educational Affairs, held a series of meetings with leading international IT companies. The objective of the visit was to expand IT exports, enhance the quality of workforce training, and create new employment opportunities for the region’s youth.
During ICT Week, negotiations were held with companies from Japan, Canada, Oman, Turkey, and Kazakhstan. Particular emphasis was placed on the training of qualified specialists, the establishment of new representative offices, and the development of the necessary infrastructure to support IT business.
With Harv3st (Oman), representatives of the Kashkadarya branch of IT Park discussed initiatives aimed at the advancement of digital agriculture and proposed measures to further increase the volume of IT exports.
With the Canadian company NTG Clarity Networks Inc., an agreement was reached to open a branch in Kashkadarya, thereby creating new employment opportunities for local IT professionals.
With Kazakhstan’s Kazteleport, discussions focused on the prospects of establishing a data center in the region, as well as the technical and infrastructural requirements necessary for the project’s implementation.
With the Turkish company Visiosoft, potential solutions in AI, IoT, and digitalization were explored, including opportunities for joint projects in the development of “smart” services. Discussions with Interzoon centered on implementation of digital solutions for foreign trade and investment promotion in the region.
With Japanese companies Sagri, JETRO, and Orion Computer, the dialogue focused on the training of highly qualified specialists, including Japanese language instruction and the development of IT-focused educational programs.
The delegation highlighted the strong interest of international partners in launching joint projects in Kashkadarya. The parties agreed to continue negotiations and to organize visits by foreign companies to the region in the near future to work out the detailed terms of cooperation.
Participation of Kashkadarya region in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025 represented an important step in strengthening international partnerships and positioning the region as a promising destination for IT business. The agreements reached establish a foundation for attracting investment, introducing innovative solutions, and creating new opportunities for youth, which will ultimately contribute to the development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy.
