Outcomes of the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation’s visit to Oman: partnerships and new initiatives

A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, along with member companies Detecting AI, BRB Tech, and Fleetroot, paid a working visit to Muscat (Sultanate of Oman). The program included participation in the international exhibition Comex Technology Show 2025, as well as numerous meetings with leading Omani and international companies. The visit resulted in the signing of memoranda, agreements on the establishment of new offices in Uzbekistan, the launch of pilot projects, and the development of joint educational and acceleration initiatives.

COMEX Technology Show 2025, the largest technology exhibition in Oman, was held from 8 to 11 September 2025 in Muscat. The event brought together government institutions, global corporations, startups, and investors, showcasing the latest solutions in digital governance, fintech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, gaming, health tech, and sustainable technologies. It serves as a key platform for the implementation of Vision 2040 and Oman’s emergence as a regional hub for digital transformation.

The IT Park member startups Detecting AI, BRB Tech, and Fleetroot presented their solutions in artificial intelligence, digital services, and logistics management.

Fleetroot introduced its delivery and IoT management solutions, which generated strong interest among potential clients. The company held discussions with Omantel, receiving an invitation to collaborate through its Innovation Labs acceleration program, and with Gulf Business Solutions, which is considering the deployment of IoT-FMS for one of the region’s largest construction firms. Additional interest was expressed by Omani logistics operators, including The Famous Line, as well as the Cypriot startup Metaxas, owner of one of the region’s largest express delivery services with a fleet of 1,200 vehicles.

Fleetroot, an IT Park member, offers a SaaS platform for last-mile logistics, fleet, and order management. Its solutions enable companies to optimize routes and monitor assets in real time, which is particularly relevant for logistics providers and retail businesses.

Detecting AI showcased its product in Oman for the first time and received positive feedback from both international visitors and local universities. Particular emphasis was placed on the applicability of the technology within the education sector. A key outcome of the presentation was the commencement of collaboration with M-Tech.ai, a leading Omani AI company. The parties are currently preparing a contract to jointly bring the product to the national market.

Detecting AI is a SaaS platform for detecting AI-generated content. Already serving more than 250,000 users worldwide, including universities and enterprises, it provides verification of texts, audio, and images for authenticity. The startup positions itself as a trust ecosystem for the digital space.

BRB Tech presented its “Credit Monitoring” and “Business 24/7” platforms to Oman’s largest banks — Sohar International Bank, Ahli Bank, and Bank of Muscat. The solutions attracted significant interest in terms of potential integration into the local financial system. The company also held meetings with PhazeRo and Al Jabr to discuss market entry strategies and future collaborations. On the final day of the exhibition, BRB Tech received offers of legal and organizational support to enter the Omani market and was invited to participate in the upcoming GITEX global exhibition.

BRB Tech is an innovative IT company from Uzbekistan specializing in digital banking platforms, super apps, and AI solutions. It works with leading financial institutions, delivering scalable and secure digital ecosystems.

Engagements with Omani startup and venture capital stakeholders

During the visit, IT Park representatives held meetings with major players in Oman’s innovation ecosystem — aljabr.co, Omantel Innovation Labs, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), Oman Startup Hub, Madaar, Phaze Ventures, Jasoor Ventures, Oman Investment Authority, Golden Gate Ventures, and INFINIA.

aljabr.co: innovative acceleration formats and joint initiatives

Discussions were held with Al Jabr, an Omani innovation company founded in 2019 by Mohammed Al-Wahaibi and Fatma Bahwan. Specializing in supporting startups and corporate innovation, the company offers pre-acceleration, incubation, and acceleration programs, as well as access to financial and intellectual resources.

The parties considered joint initiatives, including the launch of accelerators for market entry and mentoring programs. It was agreed that further negotiations would be held in Uzbekistan to establish a structured framework for cooperation. Al Jabr also confirmed its participation in ICT Week.

Omantel Innovation Labs: interest in Uzbekistan’s ecosystem

Together with Aloqa Ventures, a meeting was held with Ghada Al-Said of Omantel Innovation Labs — the innovation arm of Omantel, supporting entrepreneurship in 5G, IoT, cybersecurity, Big Data, AI, and fintech.

The company presented its flagship six-month accelerator and four startups from its portfolio. During the dialogue, IT Park Uzbekistan presented its current programs and achievements. Omantel expressed strong interest in continued collaboration and in exploring joint initiatives to support startups.

MTCIT: startup exchange between the two countries

During discussions with Hamood Al-Hamadan of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), the parties explored the potential for startup exchanges between Uzbekistan and Oman. As an initial step, they agreed to organize online webinars to assess entrepreneurs’ interest in both markets.

Oman Startup Hub: integration of Uzbek companies

The delegation was introduced to Oman Startup Hub (OSH), the national platform uniting startups, accelerators, investors, and sponsors. OSH currently supports over 160 startups and 47 partners and plays a central role in developing Oman’s innovation ecosystem.

Phaze Ventures: interest in BRB Tech

In a meeting with Masoud Al-Rawahi, founder of Oman’s first venture capital fund Phaze Ventures, the parties exchanged experiences and insights on market development. The fund expressed interest in the Uzbek startup BRB Tech and agreed to maintain further contact. Mr. Al-Rawahi also confirmed his participation in ICT Week.

Oman Investment Authority: focus on B2B startups

At a meeting with Ali Abdulhussein of Oman Investment Authority, the parties reviewed ongoing joint projects, including the uzoman.uz initiative. The Omani side noted particular interest in B2B startups and investments in high-potential sectors.

Golden Gate Ventures: interest in AI and fintech

Michael Lints, Partner at Golden Gate Ventures, highlighted Uzbekistan’s investment appeal as an emerging market and expressed interest in startups in AI, fintech, e-commerce, and biotech. The parties agreed to organize a dedicated pitching session for Uzbek startups during ICT Week.

Meetings on IT outsourcing and exports

Additional discussions were held with companies and organizations active in IT outsourcing and exports — including Gadoba, Novatelia, Global Computer Services, Oman Information Technology Society, Free Economic Zone of Oman, Cyber3S, Madayn, Project, Tenders and Local Content Authority, Knowledge Resources, Al Muheet Institute, DreamLab Technologies, and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Gadoba: establishment of an office in Uzbekistan

On the first day of the visit, the delegation met with Gadoba representatives. Following the negotiations, a memorandum of understanding was signed, under which the company announced the opening of an office in Uzbekistan to commence IT outsourcing activities. The official launch will take place during ICT Week Uzbekistan.

Novatelia: job creation and IT services export

A meeting was held with Novatelia founder Muhammad Jan Madjeedi. The company announced plans to establish operations in Uzbekistan, hire specialists, and focus on IT services export.

Oman Information Technology Society: joint events and MoU

The parties discussed support for Uzbek companies entering the Omani market, organization of joint events, and preparations for signing a memorandum of cooperation. The society also confirmed participation in the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference.

Free Economic Zone of Oman: offices for Uzbek IT companies

At a meeting with the Free Economic Zone of Oman, opportunities were explored for Uzbek IT companies to establish offices in the country’s free zones. The Omani side expressed readiness to connect IT Park with Oman Technology Park and assist in organizing a joint session.

Cyber3S: launch of a healthcare app in Uzbekistan

Cyber3S founder Maruf Aminu presented a healthcare mobile application and announced plans to establish a company in Uzbekistan as early as September.

Madayn: startup support through Softlanding program

Madayn, the organization managing Oman’s industrial zones, confirmed its willingness to provide offices and subsidies for Uzbek companies through the Softlanding program.

Knowledge Resources and Al Muheet Institute: educational projects and new ventures

The companies announced plans to deliver IT training in Uzbekistan, establish two new enterprises, and build partnerships with universities.

The visit of the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation to Oman marked an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation. It not only enabled the presentation of Uzbek IT solutions at Comex Technology Show 2025 but also laid the groundwork for new international partnerships. Agreements on the establishment of offices, joint projects, and startup support programs create favorable conditions for Uzbek companies to enter Gulf markets and reinforce Uzbekistan’s position as a rapidly developing IT hub in the region.
