The event was organized by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, in partnership with The Eastern Committee of the German Economy and Berlin Economics. The visit also included a series of meetings with German companies, including Gevekom GmbH, Endax GmbH, Pedersen & Partners, among others. The primary objective of the visit was to present Uzbekistan’s potential in the fields of IT and outsourcing, establish direct connections with German partners, and highlight the country’s competitive advantages as a reliable destination for global digital services.

The conference brought together more than 100 guests representing 70 companies. The event was opened by Dilshod Akhatov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany, who emphasized the strengthening of bilateral economic relations and the growing interest of German companies in cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Opening remarks were also delivered by Adrian Wolkersdorf, representative of the Federal Ministry for Digital Technologies and Modernization of Public Administration, and Michael Harms, Managing Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy. Both speakers underscored Uzbekistan’s growing potential as a new hub for IT outsourcing in Central Asia.

Fayzulla Ulmasov, Chief Manager of the IT Export Development Department at IT Park Uzbekistan, presented a report titled “Uzbekistan – Strategic Partner in Global Services Expansion”, outlining the country’s Zero Risk program, available tax incentives, IT visa opportunities, and growing talent pool.

Garry Poluschkin, Consultant at the German Economic Team, provided a detailed overview of the dynamics of Uzbekistan’s IT sector development. Viktoria Dubova, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board at Uzinfocom Europe, delivered a presentation titled “From Idea to Reality: The Power of Uzbek Tech Talent”, which highlighted the innovation capacity of Uzbek IT professionals.

The official program concluded with a panel discussion titled “Entering Uzbekistan: A Scalable and Strategic Decision”, moderated by Michael Harms. The panel featured Robert Kirchner (Berlin Economics), Adrian Wolkersdorf (Federal Ministry of Germany), Philipp Kleine Jäger (EPAM Systems), Bastian Kregel (Plug and Play), and Vsevolod Lee (IT Park Uzbekistan). The discussion focused on practical approaches for German companies entering the Uzbek market, the benefits of outsourcing, and the country’s readiness in terms of human capital.

The conference in Berlin, along with the meetings held during the visit, reaffirmed the strong interest of German and European businesses in establishing partnerships with Uzbekistan in IT outsourcing, digital solutions, and consulting services. For IT Park Uzbekistan, the event marked a significant step towards strengthening cooperation with Germany, expanding its network of partners within the European Union, and promoting Uzbekistan as an emerging technological hub in the region.
