    Strategic Dialogues on Startup Ecosystem Growth and Forward-Looking Initiatives

     

    On October 16, 2024, a Business Breakfast brought together leading figures from Uzbekistan’s startup and venture capital ecosystem, alongside representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan. The event served as a premier platform for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas to drive innovation and accelerate growth in the region.

     

     

    Key representatives from prominent venture capital firms, accelerators, and ecosystem enablers were in attendance, showcasing the depth and diversity of Uzbekistan's startup landscape:

    The event opened with a welcoming address by Executive Director Abdulakhad Kuchkarov. The highlight of the morning was a presentation on the recent Presidential Decree focused on “Developing the Startup Ecosystem and Venture Financing in Uzbekistan.” This decree aims to further enhance the framework for startups and venture capital, providing a robust foundation for the ecosystem's growth.

     

     

    Following the presentation, participants engaged in insightful discussions, sharing their perspectives on the new initiatives and exploring opportunities for collaboration. The event also featured an interactive Q&A session, fostering deeper connections between venture capitalists, private investors, and ecosystem builders.

     

     

    The Business Breakfast concluded with a summary of key takeaways and a strong call for ongoing cooperation as Uzbekistan’s thriving startup ecosystem continues to evolve.

     

     

    The collective efforts of all participants in the startup and venture ecosystem, along with IT Park, are providing a strong momentum for the advancement of innovation in Uzbekistan. This collaboration not only strengthens the sector but also unlocks new opportunities for promising projects to expand globally.     GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

    Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services. Organized by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the event convened approximately 450 participants representing 260 companies, including 237 international companies from 40 countries. Among the attendees were representatives of multinational corporations, startups, government agencies, and venture capital funds.

    The AI Leaders program on AI strategy development for executives is launching.

    From April 6 to May 31, the online program AI Leaders will take place, designed for executives and decision-makers. Participants will develop a practical AI strategy for their organization and, upon completion, receive an official certificate from Stanford Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (Stanford HAI). The program is delivered in collaboration with Stanford HAI, OpenAI Academy, and Silkroad Innovation Hub.
