Washington, D.C., November 7, 2025 — The Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, announced plans to work with NVIDIA to advance the nation’s infrastructure for NVIDIA, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies.

The Republic of Uzbekistan plans to work with NVIDIA to support several AI development strategies:
NVIDIA will share international best practices on AI governance, ecosystem development, and industry use cases, to the extent of publicly available and non-confidential information.
The Republic of Uzbekistan is researching the establishment an AI Center of Excellence based on modern NVIDIA technologies and educational programs, including faculty training and professional development for specialists.
The Ministry is considering the assessment and planning of up to approximately 1 MW of compute capacity for two clusters — one focused on education and research, the other on digital government, healthcare, and industrial AI — with a target of 2026, subject to separate agreements and availability.

In addition, the Government of Uzbekistan has announced several national initiatives aimed at expanding AI adoption across the country. These initiatives are led by the Government and may involve future collaboration with NVIDIA, subject to separate discussions and approvals:
● NVIDIA AI infrastructure for Universities.
The Government plans to evaluate and, subject to availability and future agreements, procure NVIDIA AI infrastructure supercomputing for top universities. Funding has been allocated, and procurement is targeted for Q4 2025.
● AI in Education Curriculum.
The Government is working to introduce AI into university curricula nationwide and intends to leverage NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) programs, where available, to support faculty training and upskilling.

● NVIDIA AI Infrastructure for Industry and Government.
The Government is assessing the allocation of approximately 1 MW of power and funding for an additional NVIDIA AI infrastructure or industrial users, banks, and governmental organizations, targeted for 2026, subject to separate agreements, availability, and export control regulations.
● $3 Million Investment in an Industrial AI Center of Excellence.
The Government plans an investment of approximately US $3 million to establish an Industrial AI Center of Excellence, evaluating NVIDIA technologies for digital twins, robotics, and industrial AI solutions, with an expected launch in 2026.

This collaboration marks an important step toward fostering cooperation in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, combining global expertise with Uzbekistan’s national priorities for sustainable technological advancement.
