The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference Tokyo opens new avenues for cooperation

 

The recent event under the auspices of the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference, held on April 25th in Tokyo, underscored Uzbekistan's strategic importance in the realms of IT outsourcing and BPO for the Japanese market. With over 100 sector representatives in attendance, including over 60 companies engaged in service export, the event showcased the growing interest of Japan — a leading technological powerhouse — in Uzbekistan's IT sector.

 

The event commenced with opening remarks from the Advisor on Trade and Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan, Bakhodir Saidov, who underscored the significance of enhancing partnership relations between the two nations in the field of IT, particularly in bolstering the outsourcing market and exchanging expertise in this domain.

 

Farhod Ibragimov, the CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, highlighted that the established longstanding collaboration and joint efforts of both states in infrastructure development and human capital advancement in Uzbekistan significantly contributed to the growth of our country's IT industry.

 

Additionally, conference participants were briefed on strategic initiatives and government support programs tailored for IT companies in Uzbekistan, including Zero Risk and Enterprise Uzbekistan. Of particular interest were the tax incentives available for export-oriented residents of IT Park.

 

During the conference, IT-Bilim company delivered a presentation on educational programs and the cultivation of new IT talents in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the high quality and flexibility of local IT specialists.

 

Currently, thanks to collaborative projects between Japan and Uzbekistan, over 12,000 individuals are proficient in the Japanese language and are undergoing training in Japanese business preparation programs. Possessing high qualifications, our compatriots can contribute to the development of Japanese companies' business, including through outsourcing work from Uzbekistan.

 

Furthermore, Okada Kotaro, the General Director of the Planning and Coordination Department at the Center for International Cooperation in Computerization, shed light on Uzbekistan's dynamically evolving business climate, serving as a catalyst for scaling IT companies on the international stage.

 

Moreover, Okada Kotaro moderated a panel discussion with representatives of leading Japanese companies and educational institutions, who shared their successful entrepreneurial experiences in Uzbekistan.

 

Among the panelists were Yasuyuki Noguchi, CEO of Digital Knowledge from Japan; Ando Koki, CEO of H&K LTD and founder of H&K Group in Uzbekistan; Anatoliy Kolbinov, representative of the recruitment company People Cloud; Hirasawa Tomohiro, President of RINGO Entertainment Inc.; and Erkin Khamrakulov, CEO of MAYA MIRAI Inc.

 

The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference organized in Tokyo is paving the way for enhanced cooperation and expanding horizons for Uzbekistan's IT industry, reinforcing the friendly and diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Japan. It is noteworthy that due to the demographic situation in Japan, the demand for talented IT specialists is on the rise.
