The delegation of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, took part in GITEX GLOBAL 2025 — one of the world’s largest platforms for technology and innovation. Alongside participation in the exhibition, IT Park representatives held a series of strategic meetings with international IT companies, accelerators, and venture funds.
The discussions primarily focused on the development of IT services exports, startup support in Central Asia, and investment attraction.
One of the key events of Expand North Star by GITEX GLOBAL was the Unlocking Central Asia conference, organized by IT Park Uzbekistan in cooperation with Astana Hub. The event brought together over 120 representatives of technology companies, venture funds, accelerators, and IT organizations from the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia.
During the conference, the Tumar Innovation Hub — a new startup platform created through a partnership between IT Park Uzbekistan, Astana Hub, and White Hill Capital — was officially presented. The platform aims to develop the regional startup ecosystem, launch international acceleration programs, and attract investment to Central Asia.
In his address, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulakhad Kuchkarov highlighted the dynamic growth of Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem, emphasizing tax incentives, administrative simplifications, and advanced infrastructure for member companies. He also presented the Digital Startups Scale-Up Program, implemented in Dubai, which helps Central Asian startups prepare for entry into international markets and build connections with venture funds in the MENA region.
Particular attention was drawn to the panel discussion “Bridging Regions, Building Futures: Central Asia–MENA”, during which Mr. Kuchkarov spoke about IT Park’s efforts to support startups, enhance export capacity, and strengthen strategic partnerships with foreign technology hubs.
Following the conference, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between IT Park Uzbekistan, Astana Hub, Al-Farabi Innovation Hub, and 1More Thing. The memorandum envisions joint initiatives to support startups, develop investment instruments, and launch innovative projects enabling Central Asian companies to expand into MENA markets.
Additionally, with the support of DIFC Innovation Hub, Investor’s Day was organized — the first event held under the Tumar Innovation Hub initiative. Ten regional startups presented their projects to investors and corporations. The pitch session gathered over 20 representatives of venture funds and major companies from the MENA region. As a result, five regional startups received invitations to continue negotiations on potential cooperation and investment.
Under the unified brand Central Asian Innovation Hubs, IT Park Uzbekistan and Astana Hub also presented a joint stand featuring solutions from startups including Geomotive, Gleon, BRB Tech, Delever, Fleetroot, IOKA, Finflow, eXpace, Alem, and Qulla.ai. The stand became one of the most visited at the exhibition, drawing the attention of investors and representatives of international corporations.
As part of cooperation with DIFC Innovation Hub, the final stage of the IGNYTE Challenge Demo Day took place at GITEX Global, bringing together over 400 projects in financial inclusion and AI-driven public services.
Five startups reached the final: Ai On The Fly Technologies, Platma, Dhahaby, InvoiceMate, and ConfirmU. The winner, Dhahaby, presented an innovative solution in the field of financial inclusion aimed at expanding public access to digital financial services.
The company received a $10,000 grant from IGNYTE Platforms to open an office in Uzbekistan. The international startup’s decision to establish operations in the country further underscored the growing interest of foreign companies in Uzbekistan’s innovation ecosystem.
