Uzbekistan Tech landscape was presented in Germany during STARTUP AUTOBAHN EXPO 2024

Delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by CEO of IT Park Farkhod Ibragimov participated at STARTUP AUTOBAHN EXPO 2024 in Stuttgart. STARTUP AUTOBAHN EXPO 2024 powered by Plug and Play emerged as a global open innovation platform, bringing together top corporations like Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Bosch with cutting-edge startups from around the world to facilitate genuine collaboration projects.

As part of this visit, delegates of IT Park Uzbekistan met with Saeed Amidi, CEO and Founder of Plug and Play, and his team. IT Park is a founder partner of Plug and Play in Uzbekistan, and during the partnership many mutual initiatives in the field of startup ecosystem and investments were successfully launched. Moreover, the branch in Uzbekistan is the single office of Plug and Play connecting Europe and Asia since 2022, which allows them to extend their operations and acceleration activities to Central Asia and CIS markets as well as support product-based tech companies through Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, both parties discussed an opportunity of collaborating to draw in investments and promote Uzbekistan globally, creating a foundation for strengthening the country’s position as a flourishing IT and outsourcing hub. Saeed Amidi and the team of Plug and Play were invited to attend the ICT Week Uzbekistan this September.

Additionally, IT Park Uzbekistan presented the tech and outsourcing landscape of Uzbekistan during the exhibition, emphasizing the young human capital as well as the flourishing startup ecosystem and venture capital of the country. The delegation of IT Park conducted introductory meetings with representatives from leading technology companies, which expressed interest in the Uzbek IT industry and highlighted the investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan. The participants of the meetings were all invited to the upcoming Global Business Services Forum, which takes place this July 24th.

Within the framework of the EXPO 2024 Stuttgart, Farkhod Ibragimov took the stage to introduce Uzbekistan as a promising stage for IT outsourcing. The session was moderated by Hannah Boomgaarden. The CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan emphasized the advantages of Uzbekistan as an outsourcing hub and the country's high potential as a result of its young and talented workforce, strategic location, and favorable business climate. Mr. Ibragimov additionally centered around Uzbekistan's achievements in making an IT establishment and planned to additionally broaden cooperation with worldwide associations.

This event created a solid platform for future collaborations with tech giants, attracting their interest to Uzbekistan’s IT landscape. Thanks to STARTUP AUTOBAHN EXPO 2024 in Stuttgart, Uzbekistan's promotion on the global IT stage and the strengthening of international relations were both made possible.
