On 24 September 2025, the Uzbek–Japan ICT Forum will take place in Tashkent within the framework of ICT Week. The forum is expected to bring together more than 150 participants, including representatives of government institutions, the business community, academia, and international organizations.
The Uzbek–Japan ICT Forum serves as a dedicated platform for fostering cooperation in the field of information technology and outsourcing between Uzbekistan and Japan. Bringing together stakeholders from both countries, the forum will facilitate the exchange of expertise, presentation of projects, and discussion of prospects for bilateral partnership in the digital sphere.
A key highlight of the program will be the panel discussion “IT Outsourcing from Uzbekistan to Japan: Opportunities and Challenges”. Participants representing the public and private sectors of both countries will review opportunities for cooperation in digital technologies and outsourcing, and share practical experiences and solutions aimed at reinforcing partnerships.
The first part of the panel discussion will feature representatives of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, IT Park Uzbekistan, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Japan Digital University.
The second part will present perspectives from the private sector, with speakers from Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Orion Computer Co., Ltd., Soft Hyperion CA FE LLC, UZInfocom, WYNENTERPRISE LLC, and BEPRO-DEVHUB LLC. The session will be moderated by Mr. Akihiro Sakurai, Adviser to the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan.
The forum represents an important step in strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and Japan. For Uzbekistan, it offers an opportunity to demonstrate its human capital and infrastructure capacity, while for Japan it provides access to a reliable partner for technological initiatives.
