A delegation from the World Bank, led by Vice President for Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Sangbu Kim, arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. The visit took place within the framework of the Digital Inclusion in Uzbekistan project, implemented jointly by the World Bank, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, and IT Park Uzbekistan.
As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF) 2026, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Azamat Karamatov, held a meeting with representatives of the international game development studio Battlestate Games. The Battlestate Games delegation was led by Olga Krog, Head of Battlestate Games Limited’s office in the United Arab Emirates. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing a new operational location for the company in Uzbekistan, as well as the advantages of the IT Park ecosystem for supporting international GameDev businesses.
The Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, and representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan held a meeting with Beth Ann Lim, Director of Public Policy, Strategy, and Campaigns for Meta in the Asia-Pacific region. The parties discussed the further development of the country's digital economy, support for technology entrepreneurship, and new initiatives aimed at enhancing digital skills among young people.
