IT Park Uzbekistan and Cambridge Innovation Center discussed the development of the startup ecosystem and the launch of joint programs

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, held negotiations with a delegation from the Cambridge Innovation Center. The delegation included Alexandra Winter, Director of Business Development, and Alexander Cheung, Director of Venture Café. The discussions primarily focused on the establishment of a soft-landing program for Uzbek startups to enter the U.S. market, with particular emphasis on Massachusetts (Boston). The parties also examined the prospects for launching a dedicated program to support the growth of the biotechnology sector.

Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) is a global leader in the creation and management of innovation campuses that bring together startups, corporations, investors, and universities. Established in 1999, the organization now operates innovation hubs in more than 10 cities worldwide, including Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, Rotterdam, Warsaw, and Tokyo. CIC’s community encompasses over 8,000 startups, companies, and investors, positioning the organization as one of the most influential players in advancing innovation and technological growth.

Particular attention during the meeting was placed on the potential launch of specialized soft-landing programs for Uzbek startups at CIC campuses in the United States and Europe. The discussions addressed the provision of access to modern workspaces, advisory support from industry experts, mentoring opportunities, and connections with venture investors and corporate partners. Such initiatives would enable Uzbek startups not only to enter international markets but also to adapt more effectively to the U.S. business environment, attract investment, and establish long-term partnerships with global industry leaders.

Collaboration with CIC will enable IT Park Uzbekistan to broaden opportunities for its startups in foreign markets, enhance international partnerships, and lay the groundwork for the development of new industry sectors, including biotechnology, within Uzbekistan.
