Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, held a meeting with a delegation from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), which included Chris Lo, Regional Director of HKTDC, and Akerkin Eraliyeva, Director of the HKTDC Office for Central Asia and Mongolia. The parties discussed prospects for establishing cooperation in supporting startups and implementing initiatives to promote Uzbek IT companies in the Hong Kong market.
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a government organization established in 1966 to facilitate Hong Kong’s international trade. With over 50 offices worldwide, the Council actively supports small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing global markets through international exhibitions, forums, and business missions.
During the meeting, representatives of HKTDC proposed enhancing collaboration in the fields of startups and venture capital, as well as providing assistance in promoting Uzbek IT companies and startups in Hong Kong. IT Park Uzbekistan was also invited to participate in two major international events — Asian Financial Forum 2026 and InnoEx 2026 — both to be held in Hong Kong and serve as leading global platforms for business networking and technological innovation.
The collaboration with HKTDC will create new opportunities for IT Park Uzbekistan to support the expansion of domestic IT companies into Asian and global markets, broaden its network of international partners, and attract foreign investment into Uzbekistan’s growing innovation ecosystem.
