IT Park Uzbekistan at Eco Expo Central Asia 2025

Tashkent hosted the region’s first international exhibition — Eco Expo Central Asia 2025, bringing together representatives from over 30 countries and leading experts in environmental technologies, sustainable development, and the green economy. The event was held on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan as part of the national “Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy.”

Eco Expo Central Asia is an international platform that unites leading environmental experts, entrepreneurs, and activists from around the world to discuss and present cutting-edge solutions in environmental protection and sustainable development. Exhibits covered a wide spectrum — from AI in ecological applications and water conservation technologies to green energy and eco-tourism.

IT Park Uzbekistan took an active role in the exhibition, presenting a dedicated booth that highlighted the country's growing IT potential.

In addition to the exhibition zone, Jahongir Radjabov, Business Development Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, took part in the panel session titled “Green Acceleration: Experience of GCIP-Kazakhstan and Prospects for Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Central Asia.”

Opening remarks were delivered by Yerlan Nysanbayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, and Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan. The session also featured contributions from Saken Kalkamanov, Director General of the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects; Zhanibek Yeskendir, International Business Development Director at FacePlate; Aibek Murat, Co-Founder of Murat Beton Technology; and others.

Mr. Radjabov delivered a presentation on Uzbekistan’s technological entrepreneurship ecosystem and highlighted the country’s experience in supporting green startups across the region. He also underscored the value of hackathons and shared key outcomes of the recent Navruz Hackathon 2025.

Startups at Eco Expo Central Asia 2025

Special attention at the exhibition was given to Uzbek startups operating at the intersection of technology and ecology. These startups introduced innovations in water conservation, green energy, resource reuse, and data analysis through AI.

With support from IT Park, two startups — Growz and Catextra — showcased initiatives promoting green entrepreneurship.

Growz is a digital platform supported under the BIRD program that targets small-scale farmers. The startup introduced a mobile application featuring step-by-step agronomic guidance, AI-powered diagnostics for plant diseases and pests, a marketplace for agricultural inputs, and access to financial services.

Notably, Growz was also featured during an official FAO UN session, during which Murod Khusanov, Co-Founder and CEO, spoke about the role of digitalization and data analytics in advancing sustainable agriculture. He emphasized how such platforms bridge gaps in knowledge, resources, and financing — enabling farmers to make more responsible and informed decisions.

Catextra is an innovative platform aimed at ensuring full transparency across the cotton supply chain — from cultivation to finished goods. The startup enables companies to build consumer trust, align with international sustainability standards, and contribute to a greener future.

During the exhibition, Catextra representatives held B2B meetings with prospective partners and clients, including Bureau Research & Consulting, Muna Media, Reikartz, LAB-TECH LLC, Uzfiltr, Polytron Ultra Performance, Legrand, TAF Filters, Apollon Injiniiring, Organic Living, Yuki, and Ecomobile.

The participation of IT Park Uzbekistan in Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 underscored the country’s increasing role as a regional hub for sustainable technological development. Through its presence at the exhibition, IT Park demonstrated how innovation and a robust startup ecosystem can play a pivotal role in environmental protection and the advancement of green economy principles.
