    Uzbekistan Expands Digital Cooperation with Southeast Asia

    A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Jamila Khalibaeva, Global Marketing Director, along with representatives of IT Park Syrdarya and the Syrdarya Regional Department of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, conducted a series of negotiations in Kuala Lumpur with several companies expressing interest in entering the Uzbek market.

     

    Meetings with Key Players in the Technology Sector 

    Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Global Marketing Director Jamila Khalibaeva, held negotiations in Kuala Lumpur with several companies interested in entering the Uzbek market. 

     

    Junzo Prepares to Enter the Uzbek Market and Seeks SAP Specialists 

    The CEO of Junzo expressed strong interest in Uzbekistan’s local market. He also noted the high level of IT talent in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in hiring SAP specialists. Work is currently underway to establish an office in the country. IT Park representatives invited Junzo’s leadership to participate in the Global Business Services Forum. 

     

    Junzo is an international company operating in four countries, specializing in recruitment, IT outsourcing, and consulting. 

     

     

    TDCX Inc. Considers Uzbekistan as a New Hub for Expansion in Central Asia 

    During the meeting with TDCX Inc., representatives expressed interest in Uzbekistan as a promising destination for expanding their operations in Central Asia. They particularly emphasized the country’s multilingual talent pool, including specialists proficient in European languages — a key factor in serving global clients in fintech, e-commerce, gaming, and digital marketing. 

     

    The company is considering a business visit to Uzbekistan and will continue discussions with IT Park regarding potential localization and entry into regional markets. 

     

    TDCX Inc. is one of Asia’s largest outsourcing service providers, with offices in 34 countries. The company offers digital customer experience, marketing, and content moderation services, catering to clients in fintech, e-commerce, gaming, and other industries. 

     

     

    Cooperation with PIKOM and GBS Malaysia: Uzbekistan on the Shared Services Map 

    Representatives from IT Park and economic advisors from the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with the leadership of PIKOM & GBS Malaysia to discuss cooperation in raising Uzbekistan’s profile among the association’s member companies, particularly those in the shared services sector. PIKOM & GBS Malaysia expressed interest in participating in the Global Business Services Forum. The Embassy of Uzbekistan pledged its full support. 

     

    PIKOM & GBS Malaysia is Malaysia’s national ICT association, comprising over 1,400 companies that account for 80% of the country’s ICT market. 

     

     

    Abundent Plans to Develop an AI Product and AI Academy in Uzbekistan 

    During negotiations, the CEO of Abundent expressed intentions to develop a cutting-edge AI product from scratch in Uzbekistan, leveraging local IT talent and targeting global markets. The company is also considering opening an AI academy, launching R&D and educational programs with certification from Abundent Academy, and training management personnel in AI. The company’s leadership plans to visit Uzbekistan in June to discuss cooperation with IT Park Ventures. 

     

    Abundent is a Malaysian company specializing in digital transformation, EdTech, DevOps, cybersecurity, AI, and automation.

     

     

    During the visit, a meeting was held with Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Malaysia to discuss fostering bilateral cooperation in the digital sphere. 

     

     

    SSOW Malaysia 2025: Exchange of Ideas and Best Practices 

    As part of the visit, IT Park Uzbekistan representatives participated in the international conference Shared Services & Outsourcing Week (SSOW) Malaysia 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur. The event served as a strategic platform for exchanging ideas and best practices among industry leaders in shared services, digital operations, and outsourcing from various countries. 

     

    IT Park Uzbekistan representatives presented the country’s capabilities in establishing outsourcing and shared services centers; a pool of talented IT specialists; providing tax and infrastructure incentives for foreign companies; implementing support programs through Zero Risk and OSS models. 

     

    IT Park Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its strategic presence in Southeast Asian markets, positioning Uzbekistan as a promising destination for outsourcing, investment, and digital project development.

    GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

    Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services. Organized by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the event convened approximately 450 participants representing 260 companies, including 237 international companies from 40 countries. Among the attendees were representatives of multinational corporations, startups, government agencies, and venture capital funds.

    The Uzbek startup Verifix has secured $400,000 in funding from state-backed venture capital funds IT Park Ventures and AloqaVentures, with contributions of $150,000 and $250,000, respectively.     IT Park Ventures completes its first investment under the 1+1 co-investment mechanism: $100,000 in TASS Vision as part of a €1.3 million funding round

    TASS Vision, a startup specializing in the development of intelligent AI-powered cameras for offline retail, has successfully closed an investment round totaling €1.3 million. One of the key participants in the round was IT Park Ventures, the state venture fund of Uzbekistan, which invested $100,000 as part of the country’s first transaction under the 1+1 co-investment mechanism — introduced by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 14 October 2024, “On measures for the further development of the startup ecosystem and venture financing.”

    IT Park University graduates its first cohort: 80% already employed in Uzbekistan’s leading IT companies

    The first graduation ceremony of IT Park University students took place at IT Park Uzbekistan — a milestone marking the beginning of a new chapter in the university’s history. This day signified not only the culmination of academic studies but also the validation of the core principles upon which ITPU was founded — practicality, boldness, and a readiness for transformation. Of the 75 graduates, more than 80% have already received employment offers from companies such as EPAM, IT Park, TBC Bank Uzbekistan, Payme, Alif, and Beeline.

    AI with an Uzbek accent: the journey of Asad Usmonov from Surkhandarya to a U.S. startup
