From January 20 to 23, the next stage of the National AI Hackathon – one of the largest projects in the field of digital development of Uzbekistan – will be held in Samarkand. The project provides talented specialists from all over the country with the opportunity to prove themselves and receive support in implementing their own IT solutions.
The project is being implemented with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of School and Preschool Education, AICA, ML Community Uzbekistan, and Uzinfocom. The main sponsor and partner of the hackathon was the national digital ecosystem of Uzum and other IT companies in the country.
Hackathon participants will work on projects in such areas as medicine, cybersecurity, education, entrepreneurship, and control of prohibited substance trafficking using AI technologies, receiving guidance from mentors from leading IT companies in the country. In addition, master classes and seminars with IT experts are planned for the participants. The winners will receive not only valuable prizes, but also the opportunity to attract funding for the full launch of their projects.
The first stage of the national AI Hackathon began in October 2025 and will be implemented in all regions of the republic until the end of 2026. The final of the hackathon will take place in December 2026 in Tashkent, where the best teams from all over the country will present their developments in the field of artificial intelligence.
