In early October, a delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, headed by Global Marketing Director Jamila Khalibaeva, took part in the Moscow Startup Summit and held a series of meetings with representatives of leading technology companies and development institutions. The visit formed part of Uzbekistan’s broader strategy to expand its international footprint in innovation and information technology. The primary objective of the trip was not only to foster new partnerships but also to promote Uzbekistan as an emerging technological hub offering access to young talent, a rapidly developing market, and an increasing number of qualified specialists.
The Moscow Startup Summit brought together more than 4,000 participants from 25 countries. The innovation exhibition featured 60 startups, including 19 international teams. As a result of the event, the total volume of investment proposals reached approximately 1.2 billion rubles.
Uzbekistan was represented at the summit’s Startup Pitch session by Tass Vision, a startup founded by Shakhzod Umirzakov. The project was the only participant from Uzbekistan to reach the final stage of the pitching competition. Specializing in computer vision and AI analytics, Tass Vision attracted the attention of venture funds from Latin America and South Africa. Its participation underscored the growing level of technical expertise and international ambition of Uzbek startup teams, which are increasingly becoming part of the global innovation landscape.
In addition to its participation in the summit, the IT Park delegation held a series of meetings with international companies and organizations interested in joint initiatives and business development in Uzbekistan. Among the key engagements were discussions with representatives of Sber, the Skolkovo Innovation Center, the MIT Association, and several major technology and digital agencies. Many of these companies emphasized Uzbekistan’s competitive advantages — including the availability of highly skilled IT professionals, multilingual specialists, strong government support for the industry, and favorable tax incentives for residents.
During the meeting with Sber, the parties discussed the further development of the School 21 educational project, whose largest campuses are already operating in Tashkent and Samarkand. They also explored opportunities to launch a startup accelerator and facilitate the exchange of projects between the innovation ecosystems of both countries. Sber representatives — including Senior Managing Director Oleg Kapitanov and Maria Polyakova — noted the active and dynamic growth of Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem.
Particular attention was given to the meeting with Brand Analytics, a market leader in social media and media monitoring and analysis. The company has already become a member of IT Park Uzbekistan and plans to launch its platform in the Uzbek language. During the discussions, COO Pavel Kirillov and Director of Marketing Communications Vasily Cherny spoke with the delegation about holding workshops in Tashkent aimed at developing local expertise in media analytics.
In the meeting with Alexander Okunev, Head of the CIS Cooperation Department at the Skolkovo Innovation Center, the parties discussed avenues for strengthening cooperation. A key focus was the Country Entry program, which will enable Skolkovo members to enter the Uzbek market with IT Park’s support, while Uzbek companies will gain access to Skolkovo’s infrastructure and resources. Currently, Skolkovo hosts more than 5,000 member companies, with their total turnover reaching 720 billion rubles in 2025.
The IT Park delegation also met with Alexey Shcheglov, Chairman of the MIT Association. The parties agreed to cooperate in several areas, including providing expert support to member companies entering international markets via Uzbekistan and facilitating the participation of IT Park members in the association’s specialized events.
Among the companies expressing interest in establishing offices in Uzbekistan were Realweb Agency, Andata, Ivery, and Social Lab. Realweb Agency, part of the RW+ holding and one of the leading players in the Eurasian digital advertising market — with annual revenues exceeding $156 million and a staff of over 800 employees — is considering opening a branch in Uzbekistan to export digital services.
Andata, a startup specializing in end-to-end analytics and AI-driven advertising optimization, also announced its intention to register in Uzbekistan. Full-cycle marketing agency Ivery is exploring opportunities to localize its digital and proptech projects, while Social Lab, a company operating in the field of video and audio analytics and serving major clients, is considering becoming a member of IT Park Uzbekistan and exporting its products from Uzbekistan to MENA countries. The combined annual turnover of these companies exceeds $295 million.
All of them emphasized Uzbekistan’s attractiveness as a new growth destination: a combination of favorable business conditions, advanced technopark infrastructure, and a young, motivated workforce makes the country a promising hub for the development of international IT companies.
The business visit concluded with a series of agreements aimed at strengthening partnerships, facilitating startup exchanges, and implementing joint educational and investment programs. For Uzbekistan, the outcomes of the visit represent an important step in reinforcing the country’s position as one of the fastest-growing IT hubs in the region and in enhancing global business interest in its technological ecosystem. Supported by strong human capital, government incentives, and active integration into global technology networks, Uzbekistan is steadily emerging as a key platform for scaling digital projects across Central Eurasia.
