International SOS: Uzbekistan is one of the safest countries in the world
Uzbekistan was acknowledged as the safest destination for tourists in Central Asia, as per findings from International SOS, the world's largest company dedicated to offering safety and medical services to travelers. Uzbekistan's classification as a low-risk country signifies a minimal presence of violence, infrequent incidents of mass unrest and terrorism, efficient security and emergency services, and well-maintained infrastructure.
The safety levels are broadly categorized by the company into five tiers, spanning from negligible to extremely high. Among the world's safest countries for tourists are Switzerland, Slovenia, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Greenland. In contrast, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, and South Sudan are designated as extremely dangerous.
