On August 8, a training session was launched in Tashkent under the “Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion” initiative, supported by the World Bank, IT Park, and the Central Board of the Society of Disabled People of Uzbekistan. The program welcomed young people with disabilities and provided hands-on skills in resume writing, interview preparation, and awareness of labor rights.
This training marks the first phase of a broader strategy to integrate socially vulnerable groups into the digital economy and create new jobs in the IT services sector. The initiative will expand to nine regions, aiming to reach at least 450 participants aged 18–30, with no less than 50% being women.
Firmly aligned with the country’s “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” and “New Uzbekistan Development Strategy 2022–2026”, the project demonstrates how digital transformation can serve as a tool for social equity and economic empowerment.
