From January 20 to 23, the next stage of the National AI Hackathon – one of the largest projects in the field of digital development of Uzbekistan – will be held in Samarkand. The project provides talented specialists from all over the country with the opportunity to prove themselves and receive support in implementing their own IT solutions.

Uzbekistan is in the middle of a meaningful economic transition. A growing tech sector, a young and multilingual population, and an expanding base of IT education programs are turning the country into an increasingly attractive destination for international companies. At the same time, hiring foreign employees here requires an understanding of a structured legal framework that exists to protect both employers and workers. For companies entering the market for the first time, this environment can feel complex. That is why IT Park Uzbekistan plays such an important role as a practical, on-the-ground partner for foreign businesses.

Starting from April 1, 2026, changes will come into force in Uzbekistan for residents of IT Park Uzbekistan, the Cybernetic Innovation IT Park, and Inno Technopark LLC. The new regulations are set out in the Presidential Resolution of the Republic of Uzbekistan date December 26, 2025, No. PP 388, and are aimed at developing a sustainable IT ecosystem with an emphasis on export-oriented IT products and services.
