As part of the Global Business Services Forum (GBSF), representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, held a meeting with a delegation from the Malaysian company Softnet Technologies Sdn Bhd, headed by CEO Hamdan Akram. During the meeting, the parties discussed the company’s plans to enter the Uzbek market. Softnet Technologies expressed its intention to open an office in the country, recruit local specialists, and relocate part of its team.
Softnet Technologies Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian IT company that provides solutions and services in the fields of cybersecurity, cloud technologies, telecommunications, and network infrastructure. The company’s clientele includes government institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as large corporations. Softnet also offers services in web and mobile development, IT outsourcing, artificial intelligence, and custom software development. The company employs between 80 and 100 staff, with its headquarters located in Malaysia.
During the meeting, the Malaysian side elaborated on its interest in the Uzbek market. Softnet is seeking to expand the geographical reach of its client base and considers Uzbekistan a promising platform for the development of its international business. As part of this expansion, the company plans to dispatch senior-level specialists to train local talent for export-oriented projects.
The opening of a Softnet office in Uzbekistan will mark an important milestone in the development of the country’s IT ecosystem. Such initiatives contribute to the creation of new jobs, the transfer of international expertise, and the enhancement of the export potential of IT Park Uzbekistan’s member companies.
